Looks like MankyDrunk 2*10/2*10 finally dragged himself out of the tear-stained gutter to pretend everything will be OK for Rangers.....

The gutter mark is quite correct.

But at the end of the day 54 is a greater number than 42 - I'm sure you won't even debate this.

That is like saying that the dole is a completely legal way for unemployed people to get a couple of pounds.

It is undeniably true, but that doesn't mean that it isn't open to abuse.

Whit?

Are you seriously comparing unemployed people to earners who use tax law to minimize their liability? Fuxake.

Employer: "Hey, Rebel, do you want to pay 20% tax or 40% tax?"
Rebel: "40% tax for me, please"
Employer: "Yer a fud"

<laugh> It would have to be a pretty good argument indeed.

You should take that question to Harry and SH they'll both set you right as to how many titles Rangers have won <whistle>

No, I am saying that both are legal.

Using them incorrectly is not.

Look what Rangers had to do to get 54, competing against Scotland number 1 team , they stopped paying their taxes, run up millions worth of debt and now entered adminstration and knocking on the door of liquidation , meanwhile team sitting on 42 is one the best run clubs in Europe. despite getting cheated out champions league money on more than one occasion recently (various reasons refs/ sfa / and teams playing to different rules ) regardless of league title always remember the big cup 1967

I am not saying we should be awarded them but I do think they should be made an example of and stripped of the 17 trophies won since 2001 if they are found guilty.

It happens in other countries, but not in Scotland.

I'd take them and have absolutely no qualms about doing it.

Providing of course that they are found to have cheated.

Not one single **** would I give about it.

I didn't at any time claim to know the facts.

The structure of EBT's are unknown to me. What I do know is that an EBT is a legal scheme used to minimize tax liability.

There are other schemes used by high earners. I know not how they operate either.

I do know how the dividend scheme worked because I was an IT contractor in 2000 when HMRC decided they didn't like it and ****ed us up the ass with IR35.

As for the "5000" I simply repeated that there were an "estimated 5000" companies in the UK who are, or have, implemented EBT's. This I got from a BBC radio news report. But that matters **** all. What does matter is how it ends up when the tax lawyers are done arguing over it.

Now, you, wee soopy poopy, should just once take yer hoops tap aff (even when in the shower) and have a think about it.

In closing, yer still a ridiculous wee fanny.

EBT's are legal and are widely used, however, Rangers and many others are believed to have used them in the wrong way.

Its supposed to be for employees to be able to get tax free loans and other benefits. But Rangers used it as a way of increasing players & directors wages because the trust is tax free - in other words they set up a fake trust just to pay staff.

The advantage being a player who is offered £10k to play for Rangers or another club would pick up more at Rangers.

The fact it is coming to light now is because HMRC have picked up on the fact companies are not using EBTs as they should but for a way of cheating tax so your staff get more at no cost to the company.

Like most laws or rules they come in to play after the event as people find loopholes in more or less everything nowadays!!

Exactly. It's like the difference between Sandy Lyle and Colin Montgomerie. Mrs Doubtfire won many European Tour events but could never bag one of the BIG trophies. As time goes by he will be forgotten whereas Sandy Lyle (and even Paul Lawrie for that matter) will be remembered as MAJOR CHAMPIONS.

Moving to Snooker: Could you tell me who won the Lada Classic in 1986? But I bet you could tell me the 3 Scots who have won snooker's premier title recently? Hendry, Higgins & Dott.

Celtic are at Europe's top table and always will be due to those incredible achievements of that season culminating in Lisbon.

Every Scot should be proud of what Jock Stein and the Lisbon Lions achieved. I am sure even The Greatest Ever Ranger John 'Clubber' Grieg had to admit those guys and that team were special, unique even.

As I have said before and will again, it was the most incredible achievement in the history of Scottish sport.

If Gambol couldn't be nasty and horrible he could do nothing. Most Rangers fans have had a fair idea for weeks that their club was a dishonesty cheating ill run club without any saviing grace. All Rangers fans visiting here fully accepts since Administration day that Rangers are fu..ed but poor Gambol, he is a hun with a learning difficulty. Probably within a month or two he will realise , just what Rangers are.

abusing your mod owers by posting MDs pm , which he assumed would be confidential.

Sorry but I'd rather overtake them for real. Giving the second placed team the titles Rangers 'won' when they were stealing from the people of Scotland would not be as satisfying and would allow the Celtic board to become complacent.

No, I am saying that both are legal.

Using them incorrectly is not.

Using them incorrectly or HMRC deciding they don't like it anymore (as they did in IR35) is not illegal. It's up to the tax lawyers to sort out now. But some of the morons on here saying it was cheating beggars belief.

This <ok>

It was only cheating when Whyte knowingly witheld tax and PAYE.

The EBT's are mainly just majorly bad luck for Rangers.....(Doesn't stop it being hilarious though)

That seems to be a reasonable assessment of the situation. I don't know how EBT's are structured or how Rangers implemented theirs but it certainly seems HMRC have the bit in their teeth over them.

Yep. What Whyte has been up to this last 9 months is a major concern. Getting feart to listen to the news now. <laugh>

And i don't why I'm laughing. <cry>
