Boxing is slowly dying. My favourite sport is dissolving in front of us all. It has been for many years however the recent joke of the last few years has been the fact that titles do not mean a god damn thing. Mayweather v manny blah blah blah, the truth is, they do not have to fight each other, they are not interested in wbc, wba, ibf etc That is the problem. The big fighters do not care about belts more about money and p4p rankings. It's a real shame the greatest sport in the world is on it's way out
Not at all, boxing is in great shape, boxing out sell all other combat sports and generates billions a year. Boxing does have it's problems though, but it not even close to being on it's way out and I would say it's popularity is growing.
Your right but that's because boxing has a much bigger following at the moment and it is a bigger sport with more money in it than mma at the moment but mma is growing fast and I would say in ten year's time if boxing keep's going the way it is with about 50 belt's for every division and top fight's not happening because a is ducking b then I can only see mma getting bigger and boxing dying a slow death.
Don't be fooled by growth patterns. They have peak and level out. If the amount of papers universities publish carried on the same trend as they did in the 20th century, by the end of the 21st century there will be a dozens of papers published every second. And if the use of electricity followed the pattern of the 20th century in this century the, we would be using so much current that the surface of the eath would be as hot as the surface of the sun.
