Would like to see this team play against Birmingham in the FA Cup. GK: Turnbull RB: Hutchinson CB: Cahill CB: David Luiz LB: Bertrand CDM: Romeu CDM: Essien RF: Piazon LF: Mata ST: Sturridge ST: Lukaku Subs: Cech, Ivanovic, Chalobah, Meireles, Lampard, Torres, Drogba.
I like it. Luiz and Cahill are the future anyway so give them the responsibility. Bertrand a no brainer., Romeu needs to play, he's really good. Piazon has been on fire in reserves, time to step up. Same with Lukaku, and Hutchinson deserves a chance after his efforts to come back. The experienced players should appreciate the step in in speed an effort. Be nice to go forwards for once instead of backwards and sideways. If we get beaten, so what ?? One less competition to worry about, more time to concentrate on 4th place. If we win, excellent, we will know more about our youngsters. Right comp to experiment, definitely the right time.
Agreed definitely need to give the youngsters a try now. Especially as our experienced players like, Cech, Terry, Lampard & Drogba have lost faith with AVB because of poor results and they still text Mourinho. Their loyalties are still with JM which we can understand.
The usual team will be selected ,of course, and fail to deliver! AVB will continue to misdirect proceedings, like pick the wrong team, make the wrong subs etc. We will be knocked out. There will, however, be a happy conclusion, with AVB getting the sack strait afterwards and Roman appointing a manager who will get us back on course!
Not a bad side. I'd probably still have ivan at rb and try Torres and Sturridge actually up front together. Give Piazon and Mata freedom with Essien and Romeu/Meireles protecting. Why not? Surely time to try something different, it's at home and against lower league opposition. I suspect however it will be pretty much the team that was humbled at the weekend with maybe Drogba up front.
That won't be a happy conclusion, that will be putting us back 5 years. Until half "the usual team ' are shot out the door, we are buggered. They undermine our managers and disrespect the club and us supporters for their own greedy ends. And then of course, Roman couldn't appoint a decent floor cleaner without screwing it up. He's totally clueless. He's fired 2 very good ones, is letting down a current third one and is too arrogant to see past the haze from his wallet, or hear any criticism from his synchophantic management team.
Have to agree, appreciated what he has done for the club but like Bates, Roman has turned into a double-edged sword; makes you wonder if he brought in a first rate management team and embraced a "laissez faire" attitude to the proceedings we would be top of the pack and avin a larf. Prime example of the present shambles is Michael Emenalo......can anyone tell me what this man brings to the party? Originally brought in on the advice of Grant (a recommendation in itself) like his "mentor" had no recognized coaching or management qualifications significantly undermining Ancelotti in the process. Its this cronyism which has been a blight on our club with Roman bringing in people who tell him what he wants to hear while he's busy playing X-box football management "reality edition". Which is why AVB is still at the helm and what is more worrying is that he has to screw up big time before Roman can justify removing him.
Indeed pal! Said almost the exact same thing a few days ago about Emenalo, it makes no sense for a world class team to appoint someone who probably wouldn't even be valued at a league 2 club.
