So we all think AVB's team selection has been rubbish, never more so than at the weekend just gone.. So, what would be your team?

Here's mine;

Mata-Studge-Bosingwa
----------------------
-Essien-------Ramires-
-------Luiz-------
Cole-Terry-Cahil-Ivan
---------cech---------

Or..

-----Studge----Torres-----
----------------------------
-mata--Essien--Raul--ramires (This could be adjusted to 4-3-1-2 as Mata is decent in a free role behind strikers.)

Personally I think our players are adapatable and should be testing in different roles. Also for me, Luiz is too technically gifted (and unreliable) to be playing CB, especially when we have good cover in Cahill anyway.
Sturridge is OK on the wing but I think he's too selfish, his first instinct is to always look for a goal and so for me he has to play down the middle.

There is no magic wand. We have the players to play only one system hence why we can't change it. They were banging on about dropping Torres and playing Sturridge through the middle. We can't do that though cos no one else other than Mata has played well out wide this year....and with Drogba coming back that's not going to happen.

We also don't have natural wingers (ala Spurs and United) to play 442 or 4411.

Only other option I could see is playing like Brazil and Germany did in the World Cup with 2 holding midfielders (Essien and Ramieres say) then picking your best 4 attacking players to wreck havoc in more free inter changeable roles. Not saying it would work though.

Luiz for me is an inspiration, without him playing from the back we would have been screwed recently. So for me he is not unreliable.. Though i think RB would be good position for him, could he influence the game the way he has out there? i dont think so. And a striker without a selfish streak would never be a good striker... I hope he carries on the way he does. Those square balls will come with age/experience.

Kalou , playing in his correct position didn't put a foot wrong in the ACN.

Let's see if Cole can attack, cause he sure can't defend. Let's free up Luiz and see what else he's got..
