The Daily fail reports that Hazard is off to Spuds so they are full of it on their board because they will get one over on us,but whether or not its true I think the fact were so dire at the moment is going to put off quality players like Hazard coming to us and if we dont get champions league its gonna be even harder.
 
CL entry is vital to secure the right kind of signings in the summer! However I still think the right manager is the most important ingredient.There are a dozen managers in England at the moment who could take our squad into CL qualification , but sadly AVB isn't one of them!
 
Meh, better players for better prices than Lille would sell.
 
My worry on these rumours is that the only way we could afford him is to sell one of our stars. Modric for example. You still got that £40m?

Whether we are going to spend this sort of money on players in the summer remains to be seen but I doubt we'd bid 40 million again. That was last day of the window madness. If Modric shows intent to leave (not sure why he'd bother now!!) then i think we'd probably bid upto around 35 million which would surely secure Hazard as a replacement, though vastly different players.
 
We need to get rid of a lot of players... Cant see any point buying while certain players remain at this club. Hazard would be an ideal signing, but then again de bruyne if we had him for next season would suit me fine.. We just need 1 more attacking player for the left side to enable Mata to push into the middle. imo. Modric does not fit into the chelsea team of next season imo.

And £35mil, I wouldnt want him at that price.
