Good Evening,

After much deliberation, I have decided to give myself a free transfer from the playground known as JA606 and come and join you good people on here.

I did take a look at this site in the early days, but felt JA606 was more suitable for me, and for a while I was content with that. That sites decline started accelerating about 5 months ago and so I stopped posting altogether, re-started about 10 days ago and felt I had stumbled into a school playground.

I have had a peek at this site recently and it seems to be flourishing and I hope you will allow me to join you. It is good to see posters from the old BBC606 on here, that I respect and enjoyed chatting with, so here's to some decent Spurs chat in the future.

It seems someone is already registered in my old 606 username (bloody cheek), and so I have to slightly amend, but I do hope some of you remember me.

I'm going to jump straight in Spurcat and ask you about Livermore, when he was in those many academy games you watched with the other lads you regularly commented on, did you expect to see him flourishing as he is now? :)

I didn't know Grandspurs was on here, as I mentioned earlier, I have been off-line for about 5 months, so I am a bit oiut of touch with things like that.

Since we last chatted on the BBC606, I have been taken on by the club as a goalkeeping scout, a role which takes a fair bit of my time and is in part, a reason why I haven't posted anywhere for some months. I guess this might be a good starting point for my next article.....

Could you explain why Ben Alnwick's still at the club?
No offence to him, but he doesn't appear to be making a claim for the number 1 jersey.

I wrote many nice words about Jake Livermore on the old 606, but that was some considerable time ago. I remember posting about a year ago, how I thought his time at the club was coming to an end. I knew his contract was in its last weeks and he seemed no closer to a first team place than at any time during his years with us. Also, he had been away on 6 or 7 loan spells and his time at these other clubs was mixed.

Even during the pre-season period, his future looked uncertain as he was playing CB for Tim Sherwood's fringe squad, and was not performing particuarly well. You don't need me to tell you what has happened since, his situation has completely changed, although have to say, I do have reservations if he can cut it at this level week in and week out.
 
Welcome! I was just suffering on 606. Still suffering until we win the title again, but at least I'm a bit warmer!
Now...Where' s Galvin??
 
Welcome, Spurcat<ok> Good to have the real one here, finally. Give the different layout sometime to get used to, it takes a little while but it's much better for debates that last longer.

Great to have another of the sensible Beeb members(no disrespect to the others) convert from JA. I don't mind a bit of the sillyness on there but over the last few months I've found myself using it less and less, even the serious articles would turn into gibberish by the time I'd seen them.




Side note: Anyone know if JA has been down for the last couple of days? I haven't been able to get on it since I suggested Grand came to join us so maybe the higher powers took exception.
