He's had his 'settling in period'. Can he start on Saturday please. These games are getting a bit too important now to not play him. Why Lee didnt start against Birmingham is beyond me too.

Id rather Nige took a gamble on Lee than continue to piss around putting Connolly in. If he continues to start ahead of Lee or Sharp so they can 'settle in' we wont go up. Every game counts now, we cant afford to give them 3-4 games to gradually merge in.

Adkins mentioned that Lee works well with Ricky. A member of this forum said the same after seeing him at the Millwall game. Think NA will go with Sharp's experience though with Lee on bench. Perhaps he feels Lee needs to be introduced to English football slowly. There will be plenty of opportunites for Lee.

Why not play all three? Burnley wouldn't expect that. Don't ask me who to leave out though because that's when my plan goes wrong!

I can understand lee maybe taking a couple of weeks to fit in due to it being a new style of football. But sharp is already a championship player. He should be ready to start on Saturday.

The encouraging thing about sharp from the 30 mins against birmingham it was clear he wanted to get into the box into natural goal scoring posistions which is what we've lacked so desperatly recently, I hope he starts despite being a big Connelly fan.

Sharp is proven at this level, plus, when you're playing alongside a man of Lambert's quality it shouldn't take anytime to develop an understanding.

For me, Lambert, Schneiderlin and one of Sharp or Lee playing would be amazing! Both Lambert and Schneiderlin have the vision and quality to play in the 'runners'. Lee constantly makes runs which Chaplow and Hammond don't even see let alone have the quality to play them in.

Honestly, I'd change things up because things need to be changed as we aren't going to win playing the same team and tactics every week.

Davis
Richardson - Fonte - Hoolveld - Fox
De Ridder - Schneiderlin - Cork - Lallana
Sharp/Lee - Lambert

Bialkowski
Martin
Hammond
Puncheon
Sharp/Lee

I can understand people questioning Connolly over Sharp (although, despite my immense love for Sharp, I actually thought Adkins made the right call against Brum to start with Connolly), but not Connolly over Lee.

Firstly, Lee is completely new to English football. He will need time. Secondly, how can people call for someone to play who they know nothing about (or at least, very little). He could be a complete and utter flop. Hopefully not, but possibly. And in our current position, I'm not sure we can afford to take too many risks.

If Lee proves himself to be a better alternative to Connolly, then absoloutely put him above Connolly in the pecking order. But right now, Connolly - along with Lambert, Guly and Sharp - is ahead of him. Unfortunately, it may take slightly longer than we'd like to find out exactly what Lee can offer us, as this stupid five man bench rule (I've lost count how many times I've typed those six words this season!) will presumably restrict the exposure he gets to time on the pitch in the short-term, unless injuries/suspensions strike.

Lee looks very promising. He has speed, sharpness, makes good runs and creates space. With some game time and learning to communicate with the team, I think he can be really good. Sharp seems like the safe option to start though.
