1) This is also on the Newcastle Board.

2) You've ruined this entire thread with personal insults (again).

3) You always comment on every single one of my comments

4) You're such an angry person

1/ covered by cross board threads in my comment.

2/ Only skunks I have insulted are you and chappedarse who have previous on the Sunderland board. Partridge is a cockney.

3/ You're such an easy target, think you're funny on the Sunderland board but come across as a sad little ****er.

4/ Actually untrue, as I'm extremely handsome, rich, witty and well liked by all and sundry and support the best team in the NE, with the best manager. I have very little that could even come close to angering me. <ok>

What does relegation feel like? Been a while since we suffered one of those. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Relegation? Remember it well and we won't forget. Its what beeen driving us forward and past Sunderland over the last two years. Its an arrogant bunch who don't take their medicine and learn from it.

Getting back to the actual queston;

I think the FA are just making sure they don't paint themselves into a corner in case Redknapp turns them down and O'Neill would be a fairly popular choice and as a fantastic man-manager would probably be a very good choice.

I don't believe he would accept but I do believe he would be FA's 2nd choice. One thing the court case has done is to really make Redknapp realise how well supported he was by Spurs owners and fans... something that was not true for most of the rest of England supporters who almost universally took the piss. And while I think in the summer he might have accepted if it comes up now I don't think he will.

If Redknapp did take the job do you think there's any chance Pardew might be tempted to return to London if Spurs wanted him? (Personally I don't think they would be after him and I would expect they would go for a 'glamour' signing like Mourinho)

Personally don't think he would go to Tottenham, but I think Tottenham like foreign coaches more than most having gone for Gross, Santini, Jol and Ramos in the past 15 years. Could see them going for Mourinho though think his most likely destination will be Man City or Portugal.

i agree with Chappaz. the fact that they have back tracked and used the word British is what I would called a cast iron poker tell
