Hello Mate: sorry to see you upset, hope no offence was intended by any LFC supporter, obviously can't & won't speak on anyone's behalf.

I (for one) fully admit to knowing very little about the Jewish faith, despite being a student(well was) of modern history. I have my own opinions on organised religion and it's involvement in political states over the centuries but this shouldn't be confused with individual faith in my opinion.

And obviously being from where I am I'm wary of any mix of sport and religion while supporting people of faith being active in said sports.

Anyway; might go do a bit of reading.

On the subject of Arametic; is it still widely taught in Jewish schools outside students of ancient history/religion?

<ok>

Appreciated this greatly. Certainly more constructive than your moderator's comment (see above)!

You're a credit to Liverpool FC.

Given that Tottenham have a large Jewish support, and given that "dog" is historically a term of contempt used by Jewish people to refer to Gentiles, it would be very easy to conclude that those of you comparing players to dogs are racist scum.

However, since I am not Evra, I won't bother wilfully misinterpreting you. See how easy it is though?

You really need help... Seriously...
You dream up any excuse you want to justify the disgraceful of Suarez (its cultural) the embaressment of your manager and players defending the indefensable (we can show our player that we know he's innocent) the outragous treatment of the oldham player (prove it...its a media conspiracy) the scum
bloke doing monkey noises at evra (well its banter innit)....give it a ****ing rest ....there aint no conspiracy just a twat footballer who made racist comments... get over it ....but dont make comments about our clubs jewish links and then claim you could make a false racism claim against us (like the nasty evra man did against the poor suarez lad)... Your pityful self whinging is pathetic.

A very interesting read. Bringing religion into football is non-sensical as is Davidako's attempts at highlighting Suarez's race-case through the quoting of misguided, anti-jewish, websites. I can kind of see Davidako's point but he puts it across in a MASSIVELY bad way. I hope he's trying to say "Racism can be read through very tenuous links if you are that way inclined".
In some ways I'm glad he riled you as I now know more than I did about a faith I was reasonably naive about. Good Article.

By all means have a rant about it but dont get religion and racism mixed up.

I haven't. Notice how I didn't describe Davidako as a 'racist' once in said rant. My point WAS about religion, and religion ONLY. He has portrayed my religion in a needlessly negative light, and I felt the need to take a stand and clear the waters.

In my opinion, Davidako is not a racist, he's simply mis-informed and displayed poor judgement through his comments.
There's a big difference between the two- the former would have him banned from Not606. The latter is perfectly legal, but requires a response from those affected by his misinformation...

Liverpool FC mods cannot moderate this topic as it's primary forum is on the Tottenham forum. With this in mind can you please remove it from the Liverpool forum as I do not like the idea of a Liverpool/Tottenham topic on our forum that we cannot moderate.

If you still feel that this has a place on the Liverpool forum, Can you please post it again only on the Liverpool forum so the moderation team can moderate the article

Thanks,

Bozz

Sorry. I stand corrected. I initially wrote 'racially inciting comments' at the beginning of the post, and have amended accordingly. To clarify, I hadn't meant to call Davidako 'a racist'- I don't believe he is one. I began the post in this way to highlight the fact that comments such as his can- and often do- have a knock-on affect of increasing racial tension and enmity, hence "racially inciting".

I apologise unreservedly if this was interpreted to be labelling Davidako as a racist, as I hadn't intended that in the slightest!

I don't think this is the place for your rant. If you have a problem with Davidako PM your mod.

Incorrect.

See above. I don't have a problem with Davidako himself. For all I know he's/she's a lovely bloke/lady. I had a problem with some of his comments which- MADE PUBLICLY- warranted a PUBLIC response, not a PM!

I cant be arsed with the topic but your not very clever editing the word "racist" out of your OP before replying to my post.

<doh>

Without doubt dirty Suarez should have been red carded for his intentional kick of Parkers stomach. Also the other Mouser who put in a leg breaking tackle on Parker, cant remember who (may have been Skrtel). But how many Mousers ever get sent off at Klanfield?

It was clear my post wasn't intended to "stir anti-jewish sentiment" <doh>

It doesn't matter to me whether your (or anyone's) religious texts contain the most beautiful commands to do good, or the most disgusting commands to do evil. Anyone who thinks words written down thousands of years ago are more important than the logic, evidence and humanity of the present is ******ed.

It wasn't clear at all. As the creator of the thread I've been keeping track of the response and must say I see you as possibly anti-jewish but certainly incredibly stupid. I myself am non-religius , I suppose I am Agnostic. That being said I found your comments out of order and unnecessary.

Another credit to LFC.

Written 4 minutes before your kind 'observation':

Right back at ya...

Can we get back to football, people of religion are very sensitive about their faiths and are unlikely to be moved by any arguments that can be put to them here. All it will do is stir up ill feeling and we have the football for that.

Thanks <ok>

Amen

Edit: no irony intended...

Anyone who thinks words written down thousands of years ago are more important than the logic, evidence and humanity of the present is ******ed.

Whether it was or wasn't is utterly irrelevant. What is relevant is that you publicly cited a number of falsified and quite obviously potentially harmful comments which required addressing.

Despite being an adherent of "logic, evidence and humanity", your comments displayed little logic, a lack of respect for the sensitivities of other members of humanity, and as for your apparent "evidence"...the less said about this the better!

So, who's the bigger '******'? He who loyally and thoughtfully follows beliefs which have survived millennia, or he who purports to be "logical, humanist and evidence-based", when the reality of the situation reveals him to be little more than a hypocrite cowering behind vague and pompous words which he himself knows not the meaning of?

Postiga did you see my request?

I did. And I chose to ignore it just this once. I feel vindicated, and thank you all for your time & patience.
