Spurs charter plane for boss to attend Liverpool clash Tottenham have chartered a private jet to fly manager Harry Redknapp to Liverpool so that he can take charge of Spurs' crunch clash at Anfield. Redkapp will spend Monday daytime at Southwark Crown Court in the closing stages of his trial on tax evasion charges and will then jump on a plane to the North West. The court is usually adjourned at 4.30 pm which would not give Redknapp enough time to travel north to Merseyside as his club go in search of three points which will keep them firmly in the hunt for the Barclays Premier League title. Flying high: Redknapp will take a flight north to manage Spurs at Anfield The north London club have had to manage without their manager's input in training during the case, with duties handed over to assistants Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan. Redknapp will pick the team as usual and hope to arrive at Anfield ahead of kick-off in time to deliver his team talk and then travel back with his players on their charter flight back south, according to the Mirror. Tottenham fired four without reply past the Reds early this season and won this fixture 2-0 last season, but Liverpool are unbeaten at home so far this term. I'm glad spurs moeny is going towards performacnes on the pitch as clearly you need your manager at the game... i wonder how much of spurs moeny has dissappeared i nthe past 3 years on non football related matters to line redknapp's foreign accounts. also i would hope that merseyside police have a watch on his passport as he could try to flee the counrty after said game (joking, joking spurs fans you have to take the banter)

if you were the state's brief would you deliberately try to cross examine him again... I know its too late today but knowing he needed to be in liverpool would you not try to hold him on the stand right up to 4:30pm today just to try and crack him... Harsh but there you go, the part today is only closing etc isn't it? tomorrow is when the jury goes out yeah? anyway... private jets are what tax evaders normally fly right? the ordinary sods never get a chance to evade tax, the government take it before you see the pay cheque, perhaps harry ought to be treated the same..
It's another 'Arry ruse. He's chartered the plane 'cos it's probably tax deductable - hence he reduces the amount he's going to have to repay even if he does go to jail!!!
