He should be kicked out of the squad. He is a disgrace to his country, the footage shopws he is guilty beyond any doubt, he made a racist remark, what a bellend
Exactly, ALLEGED,rios brother has got our captain in **** and caused him a lot of grief when he could be innoncent.
He should be kicked out of the squad. He is a disgrace to his country, the footage shopws he is guilty beyond any doubt, he made a racist remark, what a bellend
What he said isn't even technically racist. The adjectives balck and c*** are used separately, therefore he is not implying all black people are c***s. It's shady territory though and he was stupid for saying it, however, the FA is the disgrace here. They seem intent on ripping the national team to spreads whenever they see it, especially when there's a Chelsea player in there. They are a joke.
That's a very ignorant view imo (the first part). I agree with you on the FA in that they come across as weak but I don't think it was appropriate to give Terry the armband back in the first place and it's certainly not appropriate for the captain of the national team to be someone with an allegation of this nature hanging over him. It would have been better for all concerned if it hadn't been reported outside of football circles and dealt with swiftly like Suarez's.
Also, being ripped to spreads sounds painful, but I really don't think there's any sort of anti-Chelsea bias at the FA.
Why did you think that? Terry's alleged affair with Peroncell is alleged and two Sunday papers have written retractions in their papers regarding this. If this is true Terry lost it on hearsay, now doesn't that sound familiar.
Oh, no I'm not agreeing with it, but I don't think it should be concieved as racist. Swap it with any other adjective and no one would give a ****. I'll accept you are always in a mine field when dealing with backgrounds and races however, hence my view that Terry was a fool, but a racist? Nah, not convinced.
Fair enough I wasn't aware of that and if true then that's wrong. On the racism allegation, in just about any other profession someone would be assumed guilty until proven innocent in a case like this. If a black guy where I work accused me of calling him a racist name I'd probably be suspended pending an investigation. Even if he's one of our best two centre-halves, which at the moment you'd have to say he is, I fear his presence in the squad at all could be too divisive. If it really has to go to a proper court rather than the FA's kangaroo version I think it would have been a lot better to have got it out the way fairly quickly. I can't believe the prosecution or defence would need as much time as they'll have and, if we had a verdict one way or the other, Capello could pick or not pick Terry knowing the result rather than this situation we now have where he'll either be criticised for picking a bloke with this case hanging over him or criticised for dropping a guy who hasn't yet been found guilty of anything so we end up with a middle ground where he's picked but not captain and, as we crash out in the group stage or quarter-final at best, people will be looking at all this as one of many reasons.
