Until we are safe I reckon. 38 should be enough to keep teams up this season. Even the most pessimistic of Norwich fans would back us to get 6 points from the final 14 games, even if our run at the end of the season is pretty tricky.

I reckon we'll beat Swansea next weekend and hopefully get the points quickly so we can concentrate on our FA cup run.

    Heres a question)

    Would you rather:

    1) Stay in the premiership

    or

    2) Win the FA Cup

I would go for the cup, before anyone shouts me down, surely a fa cup success would provide the best day out ever for a Norwich fan, get us Europe next year again, and be remembered forever. Staying up would obviously be awesome but what would it matter if we got relegated next year or 2 or 3 years down the line anyway. Plus we could always get promoted back.

Just a hypothetical question anyway, as we wont go down and I genuinely think we can win the FA cup.

Only 3 teams left in who should beat us Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and they could knowck each other out and on our day we could certainly shock them if they take their eyes off the prize because of champions league and premier league ambitions.

We MUST play our best possible team in the FA cup - even a semi final would lift the club so much and show people we mean business! <magic><somersault>

P.s. What a joke that Brendan Rogers got manager of the month for Jan! They lost more games than NOrwich in Jan (Sunderland game was Feb) and got knocked out of the cup.

Biased against Norwich and Lambo <grr>

We have picked up 5 points in our last 3 home games and these were against Chelsea - last minute equaliser... Spurs - we totally dominated... And finally Arsenal - you probably saw for yourself. Not to mention our only home defeat was by Man U and even then we should have got something.
I wouldn't be so quick to write us off :)

Also its the premier league manager of the month, cup games are not considered. We beat Arsenal and Villa (and were mighty close to a win against Chelsea) whereas you beat QPR and West Brom. Not saying they're not great wins, but its not hard to see why he piped him to it either.

Fair play he has done a good job, I just think Lambo had a better January and he has undoubtebly done a better job in the last 3 years than Brendan Rodgers.

Although both clubs have done magnificently

It's the Premiership for me.I must admit to having not been too bothered when we got promoted.I saw it as 38 games of which we would lose 20 or more, maybe win about 6 and rest draws leaving us on around 30 points and back in the Championship.

I just cant believe how wrong I was. It's possibly unfair to single out individual but Lambert and Holt epitomise this season that has seen sucess beyond our wildest dreams.Gary Birtles commentating on the game yesterday was so enthusiastic that I thought he was a Norwich fan.

Who given the choice of Carroll,Torres or Holt would honestly not choose the latter?

Its got to be prem survival. Establish ourselves over the next 2 years, steer clear of relegation battles and we will then be able to give the cup competitions our full attention. We cld get to the semi final this year with 2 decent performances plus a lucky draw or 1 decent performance plus one cup upset. I wld love to see PL keep faith with Steer whatever happens- even if we got to the final.

City stand to have a 2nd tier, though not sure if they will knock it down or just add to it! I think a 4k tier can be added on either side stand but the city one is 1st I believe.

Survival is paramount, coming straight back up is easier said than done nowadays, and think of the dollar. You don't get that for winning the cup <ok>

I was in the ticket office last week and they were saying that there isn't any scope to build another tier on the Jarrold, but they could on the City stand and seems that they would knock it down and rebuild it. Not sure how that could be achieved in close season, but who knows???

Survival or FA Cup?? Survival and FA Cup semi final will do nicely for me - we just have to overcome Leicester on the 18th to progress!!!

Swans-m. Fair comment and we don't mind BR picking up MoM. Looking forward to a good game against you on Sat - feeling is you may sneak a win, but I'd settle for a point!!!!

Give me survival anyday over the cup, or at this moment in time anyway.

PL is a young talented manager, we all know that. He is more than capable of managing in the premier league.
If we won the cup, then got relegated, would PL be more tempted to leave if an offer from a premier league club came in?

I'm not saying he would go, but is this not a valid point to think or dare I say worry, about?
