**** the FA, disgusting decision as they've basically just shown they think Terry is guilty. If i was Terry i'd say **** em and wouldn't even play at the Euros and if he then gets proven innocent they're going to look so ****ing stupid

To be fair, I don't think they have. I think they are merely looking to do what's right in the circumstances, difficult ones at that, and to balance what's right for both England and Terry.

It really won't be doing Terry any favours, at all, to have the world's spotlight turned on him, with a trial date hanging, like a sword of Damocles, over his head; and it certainly will do England's preparations no good whatsoever to have the slur of racism besmirching our every move. There will be enough pressure on the players without all of this racism business.

Whether or not Terry is eventually found guilty for having racially abused Anton Ferdinand is neither here nor there. It's about making sure that England have the best chance of winning the competition, including being able to give 100% to their preparations. Only your blind bias towards a Chelsea player will prevent you from seeing that it cannot benefit England to have Terry as captain; and I would go even further and state that it will not benefit England having Terry in the squad.

In my own humble opinion, this should have been sorted out a week / maybe two after the game itself, and yet a few weeks later things are still bubbling on.
Whilst this issue is being addressed it is correct in my opinion that Terry is stripped of the England captaincy, however, I think he should have been advised to do so whilst this issue is addressed especially as there is a European competition on the horizon. Quite who should captain England in terry's is something we will all discuss and probably never agree.

The FA should have sorted this out earlier. they have the evidence and whilst it was a member of the public that complained to the police, i am sure that the FA should have said we will deal with this. QPR and in particular, Anton have suffered because of this and the delay in the court case will now affect both chelsea and Rangers and their respective pre seasons.

It seems ludicrus that we have an organisation running our football leagues without the testicles to ensure that what goes on the pitch stays under their juristriction. Whilst terry has't been found guilty of anything, the fact that the fa have a "respect campaign", a "kick racism out of football campaign" means that losng the england cataincy is probably the only option they ad (unless he resigned himself).
 
His still allowed to play though so being captain or not makes no difference as if as some people say him being captain will divide the dressing room well then surely it will still be the same situation because he'll still be there.
And don't see how it would look any different on England if his the captain because his still in the team, do you know other countries captains ? Because i sure don't have a clue apart from Spains ( Casillias )

As I predicted, his continued presence in the England team is proving to be extremely divisive, and his taking any part in the Euros is, in my view, utterly untenable, now.

Capello doesn't have the balls to drop him from the team, he bums him. Terry doesn't have the dignity to rule himself out either and still keeps fighting to regain captaincy, it's a joke. If he had any decency he would retire from international football.

Why should he retire from international football if he thinks his innocent? He should because his been treated like **** and he should stick two fingers up to the FA but If he retires that could be seen as him basically admitting his guilty

Are you being obtuse on purpose?

It's already been stated that this has got nothing to do with whether or not Terry is innocent or guilty. It's to do with the fact that he now has the court case hanging over his head.

You are suggesting that it will be okay for a man who is to be tried to racism to go into the same dressing room as black players, including the brother of the man he is accused of racially abusing, and to take the field of an international game against sides that are more than likely to contain black players, and you think that that will have absolutely no adverse affects on either Terry or his team mates?

You are suggesting that the media circus that will inevitably dog England in the run-up to the Euros, should Terry seek to cling desperately to his England career, will not have an adverse affect on England's preparations for the Euros?

I don't care whether or not you want your man to take part in the Euros, as an England fan I am utterly incensed with the FA that it lacks the balls to officially suspend him from England duties (pending the outcome of his criminal case for racism), for the good of England and English football.
