it's a better deal for us than Ipswich as they're going nowhere this season paying half his wages and spending half his time injured.. he's not part of NP's plans, never was never will be.. class y player on his day but not the midfield enforcer that we really need.
The backend of last season we had Dowie in charge, name me a team that has looked good with that clown at the helm. Also, IMO Jimmy's return against Derby at home was our finest performance this season, I'll agree we didn't look great in every match he played, but that's been the story of our season. Do we need a midfield enforcer though? Our defence is pretty tight at the moment, it's not conceding goals that's the problem, it's scoring them. Our relatively short strikers have to get the ball lumped up from defence because there's nobody in midfield to pass it to them. I'd argue we need a creative force in midfield, and Bullard fits the bill perfectly.
As forecast he is already injured again, I doubt he'll make it to the end of the season and if he's playing next season regularly anywhere I'll eat my Needlers shirt. Describing as the best player in the league is silly too given he's off injured more than he plays. I coulda been the best footballer in that league too, if I was 3 stone lighter, 20 years younger and could kick a ball! Even his mate Jewell has described him as infuriating, why the hell would we want him back? Yes its cost us money, so we learn, and move on.
