Very good fight, should have happened back in 2008 but it still a goo fight now.

Behind Pacquiao and Martinez, Cotto would be my next choice to face Floyd.

Have the Manny/Floyd talks completely collapsed?

Yes Floyd reneged on the 50/50 agreement. Pacquiao agreed to everything Floyd wanted, the blood tests, even the date which was against Arum's wishes. Pacquiao sent Koncz for direct talks with Mayweather bypassing Arum.

But Floyd came out with the nonsense that Pacquiao was a $10m dollar fighter and would only give him $40m with Mayweather taking the rest, which could be as much as $90-100m.

Pacquiao said that he would give Floyd $50m and a 55/45 split to the winner but Floyd decline saying he wanted the bigger slice win or lose.

It is clear that Floyd was never interested in fighting Pacquiao and never will be.

I still think it's all bullshit though and the reason it hasn't happened is Arum, why would he want to let him fight Mayweather? Because if he loses which it's likely he will he'll most likely retire or lose a lot of money in revenue, people are only buying pac fights to see if he can keep winning to keep the dream of a mayweather v pac fight alive. If pac loses his popularity will slip by miles and he'll likely retire or get smaller purses which would mean Arum loses out on a lot of money instead of being able to make Pac v Marquez 4 and probably 5, Pac v Bradley, Pac v Peterson etc etc. It's a money game and Arum is the greediest **** in the game
Great to see Mayweathers fighting Cotto at Cottos weight aswell instead of doing a Pacman and making Cotto fight at a catchweight.
Classic Mayweather aswell with his latest tweet on twitter <laugh>

A few years too late this fight.

Mayweather moans about Pac fighting his 'leftovers', then Mayweather fights Cotto. <laugh>

Pac didn't make anyone, Cotto took the catchweight by his own free will. He agreed to it.

    Clottey vs Cotto: Cotto 146lbs
    Pacquiao vs Cotto: Cotto 145lbs

Do we really think that it made a huge difference?

Pacquiao probably should have fought Cotto at 147lbs but c'mon you really think the result would have been any different.

Cotto still had about a 10lbs advantage over Pacquiao in the ring.

No surprises there, Mayweather was never interested in fighting Manny.

Most fans have stropped caring about this fight now.

Just a shame that we may never see the 2 best fighters of their era fighting against each other due to cowardliness by both sides.

Cotto has a better record than manny and with FMJ going up to cottos weight maybe it will be a decent fight. Sick of the manny flloyd scenario. If manny wanted it that bad he would have signed for 40 million. Who wouldnt??? Hed make five times thaf from promotions a rematch and future fights if he won!!!!

Cotto's got nothing to trouble money Mayweather. Will be a one-sided beat down/late stoppage.

Should be a great fight, Mayweather v Cotto at Cottos best weight will be a better and tougher fight for Floyd than Floyd v Manny. I'll go for Mayweather via decision but it will be very hard and wouldn't surprise me if it was very close e.g. split decision
