Liverpool vs Tottenham.!

I think you guys are playing really well at the moment and I am really looking forward to this one. (best mate a Liverpool fan so always lots of banter).

We will play with 5 in midfield and with VDV potentially out probably line up with two holding midfielder in Sandro and Scotty, this will give Modric a bit of a free licence to roam and link up with Bale and Adebayor.

The game for me will be won and lost in Midfield, if, as some of you predict you start Carroll, Suarez and Bellamy, I think we will over run you in midfield, we are very quick on the counter and i dont think Kenny will go that attacking against us. I think he will start with just 1 upfront and go like for like.

lets hope for a great game and may the best team win (that's spurs by the way) ;)

I strongly doubt that we will start 1 up front. With Suarez coming back and Bellamy ready to take his place then I'd go with D's selection.
 
The good news for Kenny is that Tottenham's team basically picks itself so there's unlikely to be any supprises. Meaning, we can be prepared against them whereas how we'll line up is a mystery until the teamsheet is released. 4-4-2 for us I'd guess, Nothing will get down the flanks with Enrique/Downing and Kelly(hopefully)/Kuyt. Bale's in for a quiet game. VDV is my biggest worry but hopefully Spearing can sit on him all game.

We need to win this one to erase the memory of our last game at home last year when they won 2:0.
We have not got any point in our last three games against them.:emoticon-0150-hands

I agree with that side. I think Kenny will play Downing over Bellamy though.

After Spurs we have two home games and three away games between now and end of March.

1.11/2. Manchester United- (A)
2.3/3 . Arsenal (H)
3.10/3 Sunderland (A)
4.17/3 QPR (A)
5.24/3 Wigan (H)QPR have got a new manager, and they are playing well. Sunderland also are flying high.Manchester United is not going to
be easy..especially iof they drop points aganist Chelsea.Arsenal we're fighting for top four together.So we need to win against
Spurs
 
I can't decide waht kenny will do really.. much depends on suarez and bellamy i think add gerrard to that. formation is up in the air... only the back 5 are sure picks really but i think kuyt and henderosn will play for sure.

One thing is harry and travelling up north... we need to capitalise on that too.
 
We've played 4-4-2 in the last two games against these and been royally bummed in the midfield battle. For that reason I would go 4-5-1 with Spearing, Gerrard & Henderson. It also means we have to make a choice between Carroll and Suarez up top as we need the three in midfield. I would personally pick Carroll as he's the form player, and Ledley King seems to have the measure of Suarez when our midfield is playing deeper, which is what I expect to happen against Spurs. Kuyt on the right, Bellamy on the left. Suarez to come on for Kuyt at the 60 min mark if we're losing or on for Bellamy if we're winning.
 
maybe.... or bellamy won't play cos he played 90mins in midweek...

too many factors here to judge what kenny will do.

Heard someone say Kenny said Stevie is available for Spurs

Suspect Carroll,Suarez,Downing,Gerrard will all 2 start v Spurs
Think Adam n Bellamy will be on bench.Maxi on bench at best if fit after stinker v United

And I think 2 from 3 of Kuyt,Jay n Hendo will start
 
Well Ideally I'd love to see this against the Spurs:

I do not feel that Kenny will play Gerard further up the field. Though it makes perfect sense to most of us; I think Kenny will act more defensively and go for a more experience holding option than Henderson. However with the players on form for us; I'm not sure if this will be a bad thing.

Bellamy is in stunning form at the moment playing in the position he is in! Likewise Kuyt and Carroll have just started scoring and will be looking to keep the momentum going. Suarez I feel could play in the hole behind Carroll. He will be responsible for driving the team and lashing onto Carroll knock-backs.

MIND YOU: This being said Kenny may not risk Bellamy; So in that situation I would love to see this:

HOWEVER: This could risk our midfield being exposed. I feel Kenny will be more defensive than this, and opt for:

This is not the formation I would pick; however it is close to what I expect will be picked unfortunately.
