Please tell me why he should stay? And don't use his past history as a reason.

Everyone knows he has done wonders for this club.

Everyone knows that he is a great manager.

But the fact is his stubborness (or possibly the board's) is keeping us from competing with the big dogs.

I wasn't upset at Cesc leaving because he was going to leave eventually. He possibly left sooner because of the lack of ambition and I don't blame him.

I don't blame him for Nasri leaving because he was simply a greedy twat.

But the fact it took an 8-2 thumping for him to buy half decent players should tell you something. I didn't expect panic buying but come on.... Wenger was just being stingy... and the players he bought? They aren't terrible but they definitely aren't top 4 material.

Look, it pains me to say this but Wenger should go ASAP. We have a striker who is playing at his peak and he won't even promise us his commitment past this season but who can really blame him? We have stuck by him and he has stuck by us. Why should a player of his quality continue to stay at a team that clearly has no ambition? When he sees players like Arshavin coming on as reinforcements I'm surprised he just doesn't burst out laughing.

And Walcott? ****ing Walcott? This prick just makes my blood pressure boil to unprecedented levels. It's not the fact he's ****, I've always known this. It's the fact he keeps on running his mouth when he can't deliver. I just want to smack his stupid pencil thin goatee off his jail bait face. I can't stand seeing him besmirch the number 14 number. How dare wear the number of a legend when he's anything but.

I've given up. Arsene must go asap. I don't care whether he is pushed, whether he jumps, whether he takes a canoe or British Airlines, JUST GTFO.

A team I have supported since I can remember is going down the drain. This is just tearing me apart. I'm so glad I haven't renewed my season ticket. This club has the audacity to raise the prices on its fans but bring in average players.

    REALLY?

    REALLY??!?!

Do you think we're all ****ing mugs? In the words of Drogba 'It's a ****ing disgrace'.

I'm going to log off before I have a cardiac arrest.

    Goodnight to you all.

I said I was going but I honestly can't sleep... so I'll just add this.

Surely not qualifying for the Champions League (£20mil alone) and hopefully, falling attendances will hurt the board more than sacking Wenger?

I agree, football teams shouldn't be judged on how many trophies they win, but how much money they make! yay!

Lets be honest, the board aren't going to sack Wenger, he's making them too much money.

What's a failing manager to a board? What's a board to a poor team? What's a poor team with no fans, that don't believe in anything... at all..

It's easy to say sack him, but really? at this stage in the season? and who do you bring in to replace him? People forget that we lost our two best players in the summer, and like you said cesc was bound to leave regardless and nasri left because city offered him more money, i actually don't think that nasri would have minded cesc moving because he could have slotted into his position but money talks now in football. And yes i am frustrated that he didn't bring in a replacement for fabregas and tbh nobody seemed to be doing anything in january so there was no chance then. But people need to realise that unless we are bringing in someone like guardiola who can step into the set up we already have at the club then the club will continue to go downhill.

And i know i will get slaughtered for this but i say give him another full season, lets see who he brings in in the summer, but right now the club needs to fans to stick with it so that it can continue to push for a top 4 place, nobody is more annoyed than me at the results we have had recently, especially tonight, but then you have to look at the fact that rvp hit the woodwork twice and ramsey should have scored. I honestly don't know why wenger keeps play walcott though because he is absolutely ****, he's not a natural footballer, he's just crap and oxo is miles better than him and i walcott knows it, gervinho please come back back from africa we need you.

i think evaluate it and at the end of the season, if arsenal finish outside the top 4 then his future should be in question, if they dont, then i think he deserves to carry on, that is all <ok>

I think that was what Arsenal4life meant, that when Gervs comes back, we should bench Walcott. I agree, he's a complete waste of space. I have absolutely no hope of Wenger doing this though, look how long he's persevered with Arshavin, Walcott will have to have a straight 3 seasins of ****e before the penny drops for Wenger.

Don't think Wenger cares much about the media to be honest, the media have been saying we should spend on established talent for years.

I could argue that we have stuck with the team for 7 years now and every year since 2005 it has gone backwards, every year bar NONE !

I still say that it's not Wenger that's the problem.
You didn't replace Dein properly. Pat Rice and his ilk are all yes men.
Sort those two things out and you'll sort the team out.

I just hope that wenger finally sees how rubbish and unproductive walcott is, its not hard to see that gervinho and oxo are streets ahead of him but then again wenger always used to give arshavin the benefit of the doubt so.....but i do think that he will bench walcott for the good of the team. Also last night we were also a bit unlucky, we hit the woodwork twice and had the ball cleared off the line early in the match, but we were very wasteful with our chances with both ramsey and walcott missed one-on-ones walcotts finish really was atrocious. But i've just seen the weekend's fixtures for liverpool newcastle and chelsea and i cant see all three of them picking up 3 points.

Although Walcott and Ramsey have had lots of poor games recently - the problem goes further than that.
We are content (coached!) in midfield to ALWAYS work on possession. That means sideways, back, sideways again and again.
So we never break forward quickly, that causes RVP to come back towards midfield and not able to get into the box quickly.

A poor expression but tippy-tappy is the problem.

A dozen negative doom mongers on an internet forum with a membership of 50 (Arsenal fans) does not constitute 'Most'.
Yet another exageration from the few who seem to take pleasure from relentless whinging

no doubt since Jayram has discredited the media, and Arsenal, it will be his own personal survey of the majority of Arsenal fans (a random sample in excess of 50% of the worldwide fanbase) which has been verified by an independent body.
