see in todays sun , wba and everton in for king.
Played well this season but has gone missing in last few games, thought sven offered improved contract to him and wellens a few weeks ago?.Do you you think its coincidence there has been no news on signing and their dip in form?
cant explain other 9 players performance on tues though!.
If king went who would you like as a replacement?
    Tom cleverley for me.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Man u rate Cleverley. Try and get Mark Davies i think as he is in and out the Bolton side. Since King, Wellens and Gallagher was in contract talks their form has dipped

I think a replacement for King would be hard to come by. I think we would have to get a different kind of player, maybe 2.

We can't afford to lose him or Wellens. Next season depends on us keeping them.

Everyone is replaceable. We was successful before king and Wellens and will be after them. I dont want to lose either of them as i rate them very highly and think they will get us in the prem. I think i have learned in football is everything is replaceable. Some are harder to replace then others

Everyone is replaceable yes (except maybe Messi). But whilst being replaceable, I can't actually envisage either King or Wellens being adequately replaced, at least for a while.

Sven's priority should be to keep them.

Well the Everton one was bad news, he's surely not going to pick West Brom over them?

Wouldn't think he'd have enough of an incentive to join either of them tbh.

If it was one of the top 6 prem teams I'd be worried, but Everton n West Brom? Nah.

I reckon he'll stay. Despite the recent hiccup in form, the money's there and we'll be in the prem next season.

Agreed CORBYFOX..........we will make the prem, but in the mean time I will stock up on Neurofen as we all know there will be dramas, pitfalls, elation tears n cheers.............thats why we support our (currently) useless break my heart Leicester.

    Replace?

    Yes of course.

Replace a player in the summer months. No other time. Let that player(s) gel and away you go. To lose a player like King or wellans actually during a season is difficult to deal with though.

Personally I think King is overrated. I can give you many good reasons to praise him of course, but too often he disappears in games. He will never make it in the Prem IMHO. His ONLY saving grace is playing amongst better players. Only then might he "make it". For us? You get his goals in the occasional games then play like 10 men most others.

The only thing I can give praise to King for is goal scoring. Very, very, very important, but he needs to be more for me, to be considered great. The accolades for some are there now, but he's not nearly complete enough for me.

What we've really lacked (compensating for Kings midfield goals when gone) is a top scorer up front. Say a Danny Graham sort?

ps. Regardless of who, what, when....Seems like team spirit works for certain teams at the top without so called stars.

    Norwich anyone?

@ Proud_Fox - Agreed, hope Sven sees it that way too.

@Il Duce - not sure exactly, but he signed a "long term" contract last season.
