According to the papers West Brom have joined Everton in the race to sign Andy King. The only way i can see King leaving is if he asks to leave. I dont think King is ready for the prem yet and i think 1 more season at this level then King will be ready and playing in the prem with us

I wouldn't be that bothered about not getting in the play-offs this season if I felt King would definitely stay.

The other night was a catastrophe in more ways than one. After hearing that Wellens shushed the Kop when they were booing Ricardo, I thought it's hardly going to motivate players like him and King to stay if we treat players like that. I mean fair enough, boo the whole team at the end of a disgraceful, pussyhole performance like that, but singling out players and booing them during the match is just ****ing stupid. The players will start to get disillusioned if we're not careful.

We need to have some standards if we want to move up in the world.

We need to keep King and Wellens if we want to push for promotion next season. I'm sure King is well aware of the attention he's getting and he will obviously have ambitions of playing in the Premiership. If he stays I'm convinced he will be playing Premiership football soon. He should realise what's going on here and look at Clubs like West Brom as a step down, because in the long run, it is.

The nucleus of next years side should be a new goalkeeper, Bamba, Naughton, Mee, Wellens and King, and then we build the team around them. Gallagher and Waghorn are important players too and the latter should be considered for more starts. I say start Waggy from now until the end of the season and ask him to prove himself.

The summer will be of massive importance.

What we need is to get ourselves a left and right midfielder.

Gallagher doesn't know where his best position is and Dyer is a lightweight.

4-4-2 has always been our best formation and is the most tried and trusted method of escaping this league.

Totally agree, and I think Dyer can still do a job for us.

Agree with AKCJ too about the 4-4-2; we've gotta stop leavin our CBs isolated at the back.

True. The other potential solution to this is to find a proper holding midfielder, I don't think Abe or Oakley are up to the job. Someone in the Gattuso mould (without the headbutts). A real tough terrier who really doesn't stop running and isn't lightweight and lost like Abe is at times.

I just wonder if we would be as much of a force going forward in a 4-4-2. Though I suppose that depends on the players we bring in.

What I'd really like to see us playing is 2-2-2-2-2. That's 2 centre backs, 2 wing backs, 2 defensive midfielders, 2 midfielders free to roam either thru the centre or down the wings as required and 2 forwards.

The wing backs would be free to go forward with the defensive midfielders providing cover for the back line.

To be honest we have players for most of these roles, apart from the 2 def mids who would have to be - as you say - of the Gattuso mould.

We would be best to keep King if we can.

But for gods sake i wish he could do a full shirt.

Seen people work harder in Doris's wool shop ffs.

He is just about on par with YAKUBO , but scores more.someone remind me who's the striker?

If his workrate increased he could be one of the best midfielders in champ / prem.
