Least eventful deadline day ever?

Usually one team spends a huge sum of money and it sets everyone else off, but that just didn't happen this year.
 
Hopefully we get lucky and don't get any more CB injuries. Aside from that glad we've kept hold of everyone and tbh it may be better if we have the whole summer to look for a new CB, rather than being forced to pay over the odds for someone average!
Atleast we avoided any stupid bids eg. Spurs for Saha?! And Zamora on potentially 90k a week? Wtf premier league?
 
All of the doom and gloomers guaranteeing we'd be flogging our best players this month can shove it! Not as much as a bid in for any of them - which if the people in charge of clubs thought we were 'sellers' definitely would have happened! If I hadn't put Mrtiote on my ignore list, I'd really be looking forward to his excuses
 
Happy with that. As previously mentioned, it could have been a lot worse. Can't wait for double Dembas being unleashed at the weekend!

Got to laugh at Jim White trying to big up the deadline day - Flogging a dead horse springs to mind.......and if I hear "QPR, Quality. Players. Recruited" Once more I may have to put me foot through the telly in a Angry, MrTiote fashion!

Its sounded as if all of the CBs we're interested in are the captains of their respective clubs, who happen to be in league title races. Assuming we do go after them in the summer, I'd take that over buying some overpriced cover now who'd contribute to us being less willing to spend in the summer on a true improvement.
