Typical, David Craig rushed over to SJP as soon as a player is linked with a move away.

I'm sorry but if we let Best go now, especially for a pointless loan, we're idiots. Who do we have tomorrow? Shola. Who do we have if one of Ba and Cissé aren't available? Shola. It's not like we're gonna buy another striker better than Best in the last few minutes, especially with only 1-3mil.

I think this is rubbish mate, sorry. Best rarely has a bad game, and when he doesn't score, he's working hard, linking up with others in the team, setting up chances and/or getting assists. He plays his part.

Remember against Blackburn in the cup? When he held off the defender and set up Jonas? That's a prime example of what he does in most of his games.

He does a job in most of his games and has effect.

He's good enough to be part of the squad and is a very good 3rd choice striker.

I'd keep him.

Mate that little **** is always the bearer of bad news. Never has anything good to say. He needs to be set alite and chucked into oncoming traffic.

No way would we bring in another good striker if we sold Best. We have Shola & Lovenkrands then a bunch of reserves/kids who would simply move up the pecking order. I don't think Leon is top half standard but if we sold him last week then Shola would simply move up the pecking order and at very best we'd have bought another youth player to wait somewhere further down the queue.

It's not like he's been terrible, he was fine at beginning of the season, was forced out by Ba, came back after a few months, wasn't as good, slowly regaining form, forced onto the wing...
