Why do clubs wait untill the last day to get players in? Why can't they just not get it all sorted well before today?

Not necessarily, they could just turn down the appeal and not deem it frivolous, but I must say I too reckon it will be increased to 4 :/

They did, according to Pardew they were unable to convince him otherwise so clearly Cabaye must feel there's something in it.

Even if the appeal is deemed frivelous, which i think is unlikely, and it's increased to a 4 game ban, he still won't miss the derby. Ruling is tomorrow morning so he would miss Blackburn, Villa, Spurs and Wolves.

I haven't forgot about him. I'm still chuffed we managed to lure Cisse here, but i would've liked to seen us go for a better CB. Don't get me wrong, if we do eventually end up signing Mariappa he could be great, but we'll wait and see..
