I think when you have a player like Eustace on the bench it's not really worth rushing Hogg back into the team and risking a relapse.
I'd go along with that. The way we keep Eustace at Watford is by playing him wherever possible. Even if he isn't good enough to play 50 games a season anymore (and I don't go along with that), he is better cover for either central midfielder than we could dream of bringing in on our budget.
And of the players that came in the summer, which would you say Dyche has done the best job with? Looking at where he started and where he is now, I'd say Buaben.
i'd totally agree with that..he's been great lately, except for one game (can't remember which) when he, and everyone was dire!
Here is my guess Scott Loach Lee Hodson, Adrian Mariappa, Nyron Nosworthy, Lloyd Doyley Jonathan Hogg, John Eustace (c), Prince Buaben, Mark Yeates Joe Garner, Marvin Sordell Substitutes: Jonathan Bond (GK), Carl Dickinson, Sean Murray, Troy Deeney, Alex Kaciniklic
It's a sad state of affairs when we're more interested in what Ross Wilson is doing on a matchday than the match itself.
He is the Watford Head of Business AK http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2376563,00.html
The final paragraph in the WO on the Mariappa saga says that it is unclear if he will play tonight. I just hope that SD knows something as he has to put out a team in under three hours.
Now that it's clear that a half-serious bid has been made today, there's little chance Mapps will play even if he's staying. Throw in the Mirfin situation, and Dale Bennett apparently returning because Brentford didn't want to keep him, and I'm tipping Lloyd Doyley to make a shock appearance at centre back.
Mike Calvin had some sense - maybe the rest of you shoud follow!! http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/...ll__Watford_and_the_latest_edition_of_Family/
If that's the kind of turncoat you want in your ranks - have him and welcome! He turned away from Watford because it had stopped being a family club and turned to......Millwall! FFS! Couldn't make it up! Like leaving the Labour Party because it had betrayed its socialist roots and joining the BNP. Do you think he'll join in chucking things into the Vic Road family enclosure next year when you come for your customary points donation?
Big game tonight, we've come off a very encouraging performance against Tottenham but if we can't get a positive result tonight and play like we have done for the rest of 2012 then it will count for nothing. Millwall are in good form and (hugely surprisingly) Henderson can't seem to stop scoring. If we can take 3 points tonight we pull away from the relegation zone, if we can't we are right back in trouble. We also aern't helped but the fact that Taylor is injured, Bennett is out on loan, and one or both of Mariappa or Mirfin could leave today. Do Thompson or Doyley fancy playing alongside Nosworthy tonight? Hogg? Could be a real problem. Still think we'll win tonight

Dan, how many times did Beattie play for us? OFH, I agree. Mark, hopefully it's just due to a knock in training and he's not going - we'll know come 11pm.
