Biggest shock of the week wasn’t the defeat of Newcastle, but our draw, with only one person forecasting the correct result yesterday.

Yet another tight finish with five entries achieving seven correct results, but ‘Apple Pie’ and ‘whitburnlad’ just pipped the others with a commendable 7/3 to take top spot, well done.

‘Dorset’ and ‘The Vaughan Identity’ share the naughty step but at least they could make it a very short stay, with a full mid-week programme starting tomorrow.
