http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...avlyuchenko-future-on-line-after-bust-up.html seems like everyone has had enough of each other...get rid....it's a shame he didn't do this around january 1st.....if we cant get rid by the end of today...which is a big ask..unless a loan move(any benefit to spurs? doubt it)..then will he be giving his all at this important stage of the season for us? and can we afford to get rid since we don't seem to have a player lined up? i do to an extent understand his annoyance at the lack of first team opportunities, especially since the Euros are coming up and he needs matches...but he has to earn a starting place...and lazy ****s don't do that. all in all it will probably be an interesting last day of the window AGAIN for us Spurs fans. a straight last day swap with another striker maybe? 114 appearances...43 as a sub..therefore 71 starts and 42 goals...do these stats deserve more respect than he thinks he has got? non Spurs fans will say yes...but he doesn't do much else in a dynamic team as those who watch Spurs week in week out will vouch for.
indeed it should have...infact after our season we finished 4th...but we didnt and now what would you do? might sound dramatic but you gotta get rid of him by the end of the day...for the sake of squad harmony.
We'll see if Levy can stomach a 5/6m loss, but he needs to think about getting Pav's wages off the bill, i read somewhere 60k p/wk , not sure about the accuracy of that though.
i can believe it..he came with a big reputation and 60k,albeit alot of money..but quite an average wage for someone like Pav who deems himself to be better than he actually demonstrates...howevr i think he deserves a wage of around 300 quid a week like the rest of them.
Shame really. He had a lot going for him.Scored some memorable goals.Could shoot but had no first touch....and he seemed rather lazy, maybe wishing he was a long way east eating caviar..... I don't recall him scoring a goal with his head, strange for a center forward.Even Bent got one with his head....I think!
Hopefully this will force Levy's hand an force him to get someone who might actually be willing to challenge for a starting space.
like who? considering we have one day and a very important time ahead of us...plus we are still in the FA cup...therefore a non cup tied player? but then again i think the cup is important to us this year so we play a strong team
Leandro, Ba, Huntelaar, Podolski, Giroud. **** it even Keane on loan would have been more effective than Pav it would seem.
are they realistic targets? bA WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY INFRONT OF OUR MIDFIELD. bloody caps!!! leandro would have already happened i think if it was going to.
Giroud looks a very tidy player, real goal threat, and I haven't heard his name tossed around very much, his current team aren't up to much either.
why do i think we need a Grant Holt type of player to mix it up a bit? hes a poundland version of shearer
Touche- if Harry has watched him live he won't need youtube. "Ere Danny 'ave look at this bloke- smashing lad scores loads of goals would luv to see 'im in a Spurs shirt eh!"
A bad buy, unfortunately. He 's a lazy git who seems to suffer from delusions of being a world class striker. He 's far from that, IMO. He's got the first touch of a JCB, his attitude sucks. Yes, he's scored a few crucial goals, but he's missed just as many. I'm sure the people in Row Z Behind both goals will feel a little safer with him gone. Well rid, Levy should have done it ages ago, brought in somebody else, and maybe we'd be in an even better position, now.
I'll be very sad to see him go. He's very much a confidence player, and if he got a run in a team that was set up in a way more suited to him then perhaps he could have hit form and scored a few. He does tend to have purple patches, as we saw a couple of years back when he got 8 in 8 during the 2009/10 season. The trouble is with him is that he cannot play the Adebayor role as his linkup play is poor, and Defoe is definitely the better option off the bench. As such I think we will see him leave, if not now then over the summer. And it'll be a sad day for me
Harry missing and Pav has a training ground bust up with Bond and Jordan. Hm. Something in me says that, rather than splash the money for New Striker, we'll settle for Levy giving Bond and Jordan a bollocking, and Pav will be given the assurances he needs. I hope I'm wrong, of course.
Maybe Jordan and Bond don't have Harry's man management skills. But people like Jordan are old school. They expect work, commitment. Things that Mr Pavlyuchenko seems somewhat unable to deliver. He's only got himself to blame for the current predicament, IMO. He seems to think the world, and Spurs in particular, owe him something. He should do what any player with true commitment would do, get off his arse, and at least put in some effort when you are given a chance. He does neither!
