what top is he wearing, and does it have some bearing on where hes from?

He's wearing a Leeds United top. Leeds were the only club he ever played for in a 14 season long career. He's from a town in Staffordshire which has a clothing store named after it. It's right on the border with Derbs.

Grenville Versus Dorigo (with worm burning free kicks included)????

Hmm well having never seen Grenville play, all I have to go on is Sgt Wilko' judgement on the Greatest Ever Leeds United Team video. He says Hair was one of the best left backs in the country, but never managed to get into the England set up. I'd say Grenville should definitely be more iconic as a club hero/legend, but I'd rather have Dorigo since he was an actual international and had the worm burners etc. to offer.

Other contenders in that video: Jack Milburn, Willie Bell, Terry Cooper and Frank Gray. Seems only Cooper out of those was a proper international-standard left back, it's one of the positions (as with goalkeeper) that we've generally been **** at filling over the years.

Wasnt Ian Harte a proper left back

He got destroyed by many a winger. Too many a winger. Great free kick taker, one of the best in the world at that time, but not a great defender. I would probably have tried to mould him into a central midfielder if I were at the Academy when he was trying to break through.
