Don't know how anyone can say that this was accidental, he obviously did it on purpose.

3 match ban

Obviously i dont want him to get banned but he deserves it in my opinion.

He didn't even aim for his face, when Cabaye puts his leg up it's in the direction of the leg of their player. If you don't want him banned then shut the **** up because if fans keep saying this and we appeal he could miss the Sunderland game, and they may win because of that.

The fact he caught his face was totally accidental. If he hadn't, this wouldnt even be an issue.

He kicked out, but so what. If that is worth a game ban then football's dead.

Also, why isn't Van Persie being banned for elbowing someone square in the face?? You got a clip of that?

doesnt matter if we kicked him in the face or not he still kicked out, and i dont think the fa read not606, not my fault is it so dont tell me to shut the **** up.

There's a thread on this with 5 pages right near the top of the page <doh>

None of our fans want him suspended TimKrulsZuluShield was just pointing out its a blatent kick and an easy ban for the FA to give out.
Take off the rose tinted glasses. Youd be screaming at the ref if it had been the other way around. FACT

surely if you kick someone with your studs when your not aiming for the ball then where does it matter where you hit them?

and i dont support arsenal so i couldnt care less what happens to van persie

You're such a tool.

Made me laugh that Cabaye is being charged by the F.A. yet R.V.P gets away with something just as bad (if not worse).

The F.A. have absolutely no idea, clueless!

I am sorry I'm big sick of people on here and Newcastle fans calling for our own player to be banned, lets get this IF WE APPEAL THIS IS A CHANCE HE COULD MISS THE SUNDERLAND GAME, so anyone wanting to criticise the tackle should be careful. Also no one moaning about Sparrow two footed deliberate hack to break his leg in the 1st half, when he gets a broken leg don't come complaining.

Having watched it again, I think it looks less like a ban than I did the first few times. It looks to me like the type of thing that you'd see in the Premier League every week, just a show of frustration - no real intention and not really any power to it. This bellend, El-Abd, has made way too much of it; He may have a tiny little cut on his lip but that's not enough to roll around on the floor screaming.

im not calling for him to be banned, no one is, i was just saying that he deserves it, i dont want him to get baned, and it doesnt matter what we say on here, do you think pards decided on whether he will appeal by checking the not606 threads, i think not.

He kicked someone in the face, regardless of the intention, it is worthy of a ban. You can pick out all of the other incidents in the match, but they are not in question, this specific incident is and it is worthy of a 3 match ban regardless of what else went on, on the pitch. Preferably, all of us would rather him escape action, but the fact is we all agree that it was a bannable offence.
