Another excellent positive statement from Nigel. Always makes a point of praising the fans. Thought he hinted strongly that we can expect more movement before midnight on Tuesday. As we have a match that night you would think any business would be done tomorrow. fingers crossed. Turning to Cardiff I assume Lallana won't be fit so who will we play up front Lambert with? Lee? Connolly? Barnard?
Good interview and definately hints that things are still happening, but says that things in the past have gone wrong right at the end so we should wait until ink is on paper. He's not directly involved in later stages of signing players, so no reason why stuff can't be done on Tuesday up till the deadline.

Lambert seems to think that everyone's back from injuries & suspensions now. Bloody hope so, we need to be on the ball in the next couple of games, or we will be in the middle of a very hungry pack.
I'd like us to go back to what we were using at the beginning of the year: 4-4-2 with Guly on the right and (assuming Lallana isn't ready) either Puncheon or Falque on the left, with Lambert and Connolly up top. Barnard didn't sound particularly ready, and he's still well down the pecking order for me, while Tadanari hasn't gotten enough time in with the first team to be thrown out as a starter.
Also listened to the postmatch interview with Millwall's manager. He was pleased to get a draw obviously after facing a loss, but definately more downbeat than Adkins (but isn't everyone). Did react when the interviewer called Saints a make-shift side...he said, 'Not when they put on a substitute they've just paid a million for.' Presumably meant Tadanari...as he was on a free, wonder if he meant his signing on fee. Nice shots on OS of Tadanari applauding a Saints player from the side lines and being encouraged by Adkins and coaches.
All focus on Cardiff now, for what is a massive game. Victory will give us a much needed two game cushion on the chasing back. Lets hope the crowd are more like our match against the hammers than last Monday. Need to get behind the lads
Hopefully Collins is signed, sealed and delivered in time to play on Tuesday night. Would seriously worry if he isn't as I don't think Fonte will be fit enough to start and Jos will be out for a few weeks it'd seem.
