Nice little 'accidental' kick/nudge into El-Abd's rodent face. I will be applauding any player who upsets that little rat for as long as he's at Brighton. Dirty player, dirty team.
F*cking hate El-Abd. For a man of his size, he doesn't half manage to dive around crying most of the time. Typifies Brighton's dirty continental style.
I will applaud anyone who annoys Brighton, abuses Brighton, attacks Brighton etc etc you get the picture GUS POYET WHAT A ****ER WHAT A ****ER! He makes Paul Ince's sides look like Fairies on Ice
I hate El-Abd, and Brighton. I think Cabaye is a great playmaker too, certainly not afraid to get stuck in either. Great signing by Alan Carr's Dad up at Newcastle!
The thing is about El-abd, he often goes in with a foul, then manages to get the decision by cheating. He really hacks me off, not many players get under my skin by I can't stand him. (nothing to do with Rickies 1st ever red I'm sure)
I don't actually think there was any intent to hurt El-Abd, it wasn't half as bad as Balotellis which was just blatant.
Ah Balotelli. I am the last person on planet still defending him. It was a strange leg movement but he was falling. My feeling is due to the fact that his face never changed when viewed from the front. No one can do deliberate actions without a reveal on the face. Unfortunately for him, that is not real evidence, but I still think he was hard done by and has a reputation that precedes him.
I don't think Balotelli intended to hurt Parker either, they were both just flicking a foot in their opponent's direction probably with the idea of 'letting him know they were there'. Neither player could see what their boot would make contact with. Not malicious but a bit reckless. Both in that category for me.
It's a shame that El-Abd doesn't play in the Premiership, because if he did then these play antics of his would get much wider coverage and it would be more than just us condemming him. Holding his face like he's just received a right-hook from Lennox Lewis seems to be the norm with him. Fonte (I think it was Fonte) didn't touch him at the Withdean last season, and yet El-Abd decided to act like he did. And then earlier this month when Lambert put his hand into El-Abd's face (which, as I said at the time, was a clear red for Lambert so I'm not having a go at that decision), he again decides to over-react. I'm sure there have been other similar incidents as well, but which haven't come in Saints games or television games, and so I haven't seen them.
