    As the title says.

He's also using his Twitter for the right reasons!

    His Tweet:

"First game in 8months...wow I'm knackerd..need to get the match sharpness it will come soon...great support from saints fans..big game tues"

As you say, it worked out for him! What's said and done is exactly that, said and done. He put in a shift today and sounded creative. Just needs to get back to regular match fitness.

Thought he played ok, the fct he knackered himself out trying to win every ball showed he's trying to impress even if the match sharpness was lacking.

Does need to work on his heading though or someone needs to tell Bart To boot ball up to Rickie or Lee + not a small winger!

  5. Looked one of the most skilful players on the park today. Good first touch and control, good passing and awareness, couple of good jinking runs down the wings.

Just before kick-off he went around hugging all the Saints players, so one big Saintly love fest.

The Saints crowd responded well to him and shouted lots of encouragement.

Wonder how long ago it was that Barnard, Puncheon & Lambert all started a game together?

I did think it had a League One feel to it today in terms of Barnard, Lambert, Puncheon, Jaidi, Hammond and Harding all involved.

I am wary of Punch though as he had about 8 stunning games before tailing off majorly afterwards.

Well, if we get seven more good displays, we'll have to cheer him on to eight!

If he plays the rest of the season like he did today then I'll be happy for sure. He looked good, especially when Holmes came on you could see the difference in class between the two, especially with Holmes missing that header.

To be fair to Lee Holmes, he never gets quite enough match time to find his feet, so to speak. I'm not saying Nigel should start him, because there are players ahead of him. I'm just highlighting the reason why I think he always looks a little rusty.

I'd agree with this, Holmes doesnt get enough time to prove himself and because of this is lacking match fitness

  14. Missing that far post header on Saturday though was still pretty bad...

I do like Holmes and once we get Lallana and Chappers back from injury, he should go on loan for a month to get regular playing time.
