We're ball number 3 if we win today. How do they allocate numbers for the FA Cup draws as its obviously not alphabetical?
I think it's based on when you came out of the hat for the previous round (ie Millwall-Saints would have been the third tie out of the bag for this round)
They probably have a draw for them. I'm surprised they don't televise that on ITV, it would be more interesting than most of their programmes!
Please don't tempt fate. Used to be alphabetical because Arsenal were always 1, but obviously not now.
When they are drawn for the first time of that year's FA Cup they are always 1 as they are done alphabetically, at that stage.
As said, after then it is based on the order of the ties coming out the hat.
