Well, with the sad news that the fantastic Alan Smith is leaving us for the mighty Milton Keynes Dons. I thought it would be a good idea for us all to show appreciation for the player christened 'Smudger'.

Here are a selection of videos of the future Hall of Famer....

Oh, wait...thats all I have.

Ah well, least the thought was there. I suppose that only leaves me to say "good riddance, and don't bother coming back. Au Revoir"

That shot against Arsenal in the cup, that's about it.

Plus Pancrate setting him up for a five yard tap in and him missing, which more adequately sums him up.

my favourite memory of alan smith was turning the laptop on and reading hes off ................ see ya laterz

When he missed an open goal against Sheffield United, or the game when he got booked in the first half, then the ref told him at half time he'd got it wrong so he could do what he wanted second half.

I can remember being excited when he signed <laugh> Even went as far as to get him on my home shirt for the 07-08 season <doh>

Oh, how childish and pathetic I was at 16.

agreed that was defo a gay thing to do

The sending off against Cardiff away was, to be fair, a noble sacrifice, with Chopra I think it was virtually clean through in the last minute. An important victory in the grand scheme of things.

Alan Smith in Championship season was quality Passion, leadership always gave 110%, Good Luck Smudger.

It is indeed important to remember he did play most games in the Championship, and even the 6-0 against Villa. Alright he's been a leech in recent times but I have a measure of respect for anyone who didn't bail out in Summer 2009 and assisted in our promotion. Certainly don't despise him as much as Owen and Duff.

Good luck to him but ive heard that he's still taking 57000 a week from us untill his end of his contract, does he not have enough money haha.
