................to cope with Puncheon's return? How are you going to respond when Jason turns out for us? Will you say to your self he has grown up therefore I too must be adult about this and I will not destroy the work that Nicola and Nigel have done behind the scenes to get him in the boat by behaving like a stupid kid myself? Or will you be immature and very, very silly and start booing the moment he appears? As a man of many years I have always noticed that it is the stupid and childish who boo. The mature intelligent person stops and thinks and analyses a situation and would not doing anything as stupid as booing knowing that it could harm the prospects of our great club by demoralising our players. Now is the time to decide which camp you are in the childish booers or the grown up thinkers.
When I'm at the Den tomorrow, the mature adult thinker in me will make me stand up and applaud him, and be grateful to have a player of his calibre him in the team. The immature, silly boy in me will gesture at the Millwall fans, lob a road cone at them and then walk down Old Kent Rd with a t-shirt saying 'Millwall fans are f@nnies'.
If he turns out tomorrow I would imagine he'll get a fair reception. Not sure about at home always a few morons looking to have a go!
Support him 100% may not be the most popular player on my list and his attitude may stink but there is absolutely no point in booing him! it'll only harm the team in my eyes.Just hope for his sake he can come into the team and make an impact then everything will be forgotten quickly.
im not supporting this move. it only shows how desperate we are for players if we're welcoming him back barely two weeks after nigel said that we were open to offers for punch. his behaviour on soccer am was appalling.
Oh Jen did you continue to punish your children after they had said sorry and had changed their ways? With my Mum it was always punishment over matter forgotten!
He is a complete mug, but I won't boo. I'll save it to the other fans to do so, when he acts a prick again which is more then likely.
He apologised and made up with Nicola. That is all that needs to be said. Anyone who pulls on the red & white stripes gets my full, positive, vocal backing. Anyone that boos is a fecking **** xx
Never boo anyone in the red and white. Keep an open mind, give him a chance, and he could be the difference between 1 point and 3. We have had plenty of worse players than him.
A certain influential religious figure in South Africa made the point that forgiveness and reconciliation are incompatible with retributive justice. Dishing out retribution or punishment to Puncheon by booing him is not helpful to him or the rest of the team. I think alot of us need to learn to overcome our anger and stop looking for hate figures.
No way would I boo him, he's stood up and been counted and it seems to me he wants to crack on and play football. He's not a perfect human being, but who is. Not that I'm into tweets, but apparently he is reported as saying that he is made up, so glad its all sorted, and even finished with COYR's. Good enough for me. Everyone is being grown up about it now. Thats it really, good player wants to play, come on you Saints.
