I still think Denilson has got a future at Arsenal. He did the quiet things well, like Gilberto. I think his last season for us was rubbish, but that may largely have been down to a combination of lack of form and lack of confidence. There were times though that he bossed the midfield really well, but he never really got much recognition for it.

Have to politely disagree with you and Cym on this one. He's mediocre at best. With players like him, Arsenal will not win trophies.

Disagree. With Arteta,Coquelin and Wilshere in the squad, Denilson does not have a future at Arsenal.

    He is no deep-lying playmaker.

I personally will never forget the sight of that fat chav Rooney bearing down on our goal at home and Denilson casually jogging back only to watch as he scored against us, completely unmarked. I'm not convinced by his skill and even less by his attitude, another member of the 'couldn't give a monkey's' club. If he plays for us again I will be deeply disappointed.

Two years ago I would have endorse this article about our young players but unfortunately I just can't. We are no longer known for the brand
of football that mesmerrize the world stage. Our younger players are no longer the cream of the crop as they were before the precipitation. The
fact of the matter is, Wenger has lost it. I am not so sure anymore Arsenal will ever play the sublime brand of football we played in the past. Now the question is, Should Wenger go? Frankly, I believe getting rid of Wenger won't make the situation any better. I heard a few names being brandish around
but I am sure they won't be able to fill the void of Wenger exit. let us not be fooled. Wenger had done a great job with the squad that he had but unfortunately he just cannot take them to the next level. What I believe Wenger need no more than anything else is an assist that can influence him. Someone he will listen to. It's was just a thin line between great sucess for Arsenal and failure. We just happen to be other the wrong side of the line.
Looking back Arsenal failure came about the lack of vision in our defensesive coaching, and right now we are paying the price.

A couple of seasons back when Denilson played he was one of our best and consistent players that season. His role is important, keeping the ball moving, simple, neat passes. He neither excels in attack or defence though and this is his downfall. The first time I saw Coquelin play I wrote on the original 606 board - Coquelin is like Denilson, but with knobs on.

If we have Coquelin we don't need Denilson at all. I think/hope our midfield will become Frimpong, Wilshere and Coquelin, with Song as backup if he has to stay at the club and Ramsey on the bench. not sure Ramsey has what it takes but certain Frimpong and Coquelin do.

What a shame we dicked Merida about and made him leave. How many times did we cry out for some quality on the left only to overlook him.

I don't think we could have stopped Merida leaving, he wanted to go to Spain. It was a big shame as he was a really bright prospect.
