Jesus Christ, the hype about them is totally blown away now.

Their defence is seriously ****. They should have lost their game today at least 5-1, they were lucky to get away with a 2-1 loss.

Hopefully this will mean they get knocked out straight away and Ba and Cisse will return.

A good sign is that Cisse almost scored with his first touch today

Only problem is so are Equitorial Guinea and Libya! Saying that Cote will meet them in quarters and probably beat them

I was thinking this when watching them. They looked so out of it, it's like the defence don't know each other! I can see them getting beaten by Guinea possibly and maybe Libya.

I feel the same, catch 22.

Win/win situation really. As long as they return in one piece! <gulp>

Let them come back in angry spirits! And take it out on the opposition <monster>

(by scoring **** loads of goals, not beating the **** out of them or anything)

Hopefully they will lose their next group game, but then bow out of the competition with a 6-0 (hat-trick apiece) victory in their last game.

I'd rather they came back early with a little bit of depression, then later on happy, but then getting injured.

And besides, I'm sure they wont be too down, they'll be looking forward to their career ahead playing with each other up front for the Toon!

At least Cisse will have thought our defence was good if he watched today's game thinking of how bad Senega's was!

Hopefully their defence play as well against Equatorial Guinea!

You mean almost got an assist, yeh? :p
Was Ba that hit the bar from wonderful technique + cross from Cisse's first touches.

Tash, can I just ask what your avatar is all about? It looks like you're posing with a Black & Decker with a dildo stuck on the end. Please enlighten me.

Did anyone else notice how Senegal suddenly seemed to get better with Cissé on the pitch? Despite being labelled as a finisher, he was the one creating most of the chances.

Not too bad, been a wee bit unwell over the weekend and missed my lads weekend to Fulham because of it but it looks like I dodged a bullet really! How's tricks? You not climbed Mount Everest yet?

I'm not going to judge Senegal too harshly considering I doubt many of us saw their qualifier matches when they obviously dominated their group - it's unfair to judge them based on one bad game (anyone watching us today would call us vastly overrated too). Though no doubt they played terribly today - back line was awful, and the midfield couldn't play a throughball if Moses himself parted the field for them
