But that was only due to the fact that we had to wait for his contract to expire. We signed him on 1st July.
I'd be amazed if another club suddenly got interested in a player just because they found out Norwich were having a sniff. Surely there's a little more planning behind scouting and player selection than knee jerk reactions when you hear other teams might be making a move for someone. Having said that, Lambert has showed he has a keen eye for up and coming talent so perhaps there is a "What's Lambert doing" mentality at other clubs. Only QPR fit the panic buying mould at the moment I guess.
According to thjis, he just has the medical to pass http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/leedsunited/fb_news.php?storyid=15682
I really hope that's the case cos pilks passed with a broken leg and ankle so cant see why he would fail it.
Doesn't sound like many Feeds fans are begrudging him the move to be honest and I haven't seen anything where he's been labelled a 'traitor' or any such thing and most of them are venting their spleen solely at Fat Ken, which has to be good for the lad in helping him to move on and settle into his new club and hit the ground running. I think most of the Feeds fans are a pretty good bunch, and I've enjoyed this thread. Hope you guys turn over 1p5wich on Saturday and I'd like to see you back in the top flight as well as that is surely where you belong Just wanted to say this is potentially an unbelivably good signing, just fantastic once again from Super Super Paul Lambert. Can't wait to see him in the shirt, hopefully unveiled on Saturday before the Chelski game
hurrah! now lets see how long he's really injured for. I bet he'll be in full training within 3 weeks.the power of optimism!
I imagine Feeds fans feel a bit like I - and presumably many other NCFC fans felt when fatboy Chase was systematically asset stripping our club. First Sutton to Blackburn, then Ruel Fox to Newcastle etc etc, culminating in the sudden departures of Jon Newsome and Ashley Ward just before deadline day and out of the blue in Ward's case. I hope, for the club's sake, that they find a way of getting shot of Bates before he brings the club to the point of no return
Link Holty ? All I've found is this: http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....rwich_city_move_over_weekend_latest_1_4152560
.....sorry sid but i think you will find that the best he will be able to do is hit the ground hobbling.
I have so wanted to say something about this transfer but am still waiting until it is all signed and sealed!!!!
I thought he'd passed his medical- Lambert said the knee was fine and just a few weeks from return... All that's left is for him to sign on the dotted line and get photographed with the shirt! But let's not count our chickens...
