So with the news this week being the return of Henry to Arsenal and Scholes to Man U, which ex-saint would you like to see return to the club? Obviously they still need to be playing otherwise they wouldn't serve much of a purpose.

In my opinion, Brett Ormerod is out on loan somewhere in League 1 or 2 (I can't remember where, but Bury could be right?). A realistic option who ould do a decent job for us this season

None, never works out when players return better to move on.

Ormerod is well past it, he can't cut it at Championship level - I would love to see Bale back though!

I think Bale is the obvious choice here.

Bale, hider I would never like to see a player return as it is all in the past, and now we must look to the future!

Bridgey on loan is a realistic idea and could be useful

We're not short of people asking £90k a week for their services, as I understand it! Ironically, when Bridge left I thought it showed Southampton's lack of ambition. If they bought him back it would show the same, IMO! I can't think of anyone who we could realistically get back here who would improve things.

Bring back Channon, so long as the rules let him play on an 'orse.

There's nothing in the rules to say he can't...

Definitely! After Le Tiss, he is the most gifted player to ever don a Saints shirt. Injury wrecked a little gem of a player there!

I rate Bridge higher than Fox, given a game or two to sharpen up. And i was making this suggestion on the assumption that City continued to pay all if not most of his wages, obviously

Terry Paine to sort out our right wing. The crosses he used to put in for the likes of Ron Davies, George O'Brien etc would help Rickie fill his boots to an even greater capacity. either him or someone like Steve Williams to boss the midfield.
