Come on Superman, you are fully aware that this is Holt's last season, he'll be sent to the knackers yard (well Leeds ) at the end of the season, He'll have a summer of putting on weight, at 31 metabolism will have slowed down, bigger pair of shorts will be required to fit his fat arse into, bring on Rodriguez or Rhodes or what about becchio /McCormack
i personally think (and hope) he is the next hucks. what i mean by that is that he now loves the club and area so much, he has a young family settled here and this may be his last stop. holt's here to stay i reckon and if he's not playing one day, he'll probably be standing in the barclay having a disco
I spotted this on NewsNow too Cromer, My worry is if Jonny Howson is THAT good, will we get gazumped before he signs on the dotted line ! .........
I've got a feeling that either one of 2 things happening. He wants to much money, or someone else will come in and will happily meet his wage demands ie kooo-peee-argh
I am not sure QPR would be interested, or rather Tony Fernandez would not be that interested. Apparently he wants big name to promote 'his' club in Asia. JH doesn't currently fall in to that category.
Although nothing is certain before the deal is done id be amazed if QPR showed any interest. He's young and talented and not old, knackered and looking for a final career payout for starters. Poor old QPR, even now the players they are bein linked with I just think "your doing it wrong" "we came by train We came by car We're takin the piss out of QPR"
although being gazumped is always going to be a worry when information is released too early (and lets face it, there is no way norwich wanted this out in the open at this stage - we know what they are like!), i would just remind people that this howson is a well-grounded, sensible lad we are talking about. you could argue he is chasing the money by not signing on at leeds but in truth, i suspect its got far more to do with burning ambition than money. i genuinely believe he wanted to stay at leeds and get promoted with them and its got to the stage where, because his contract is coming to an end, the club have made the decision to cash in. he comes across, at least in what i've heard, as exactly the sort of character and player that lambert loves and so i'm pretty confident that, so long as the injury is ok, he'll sign for us. as for qpr, they are going about things in completely the wrong way in my opinion, and even if they stay up this year, it is bound to end in disaster. they simply aren't a big enough club to sustain what they are planning.
Don't worry everyone, Dion Dublin said, my reliable source inside the club said he'll be a Norwich player by tomorrow evening!!!!!!!! ILD OTBC
I don't think QPR will be hyjacking the deal as Howson is injured & unavailable for probably another 6 weeks, they need players NOW.....in 6 weeks time they could already have one foot back in the Championship?
Sorry guys, just using qpr as an example. i mean, most sides in the prem offer more than us wage wise so as soon as another club come in i feel we would have no chance. also 2 days have passed and not a murmer of him agreeing anything as of yet. i know some deals take time, but if hes adamant he wants prem football then its a no brainer, is it??
The medical would be an all day affair, I would imagine. Calm down, if we don't get him, its not the end of the world.
lol I hope I didn't seem crass. I wasn't ****ting on your comment friend. I was just using it as a junction to take a cheap shot at QPR, one of my favourite things to do at the moment You are quite right though, plenty of clubs might be in for him, tiny bit hairy til then but I'm confident it's all going through Remember how long it took to sort out bradley johnson's transfer in the summer.
I've said it before but I think Howson would prefer norwich to qpr. He is clearly after premier league football and that is more likely next season at norwich than it is at qpr. This is where money doesn't help.
