What is it about oppo supporters having a go at Leeds United. Slagging the great teams and players of the past. Fair play to Norwich for reaching the prem, but whats with the gloating. Things can change pretty quickly. There is nothing wrong with having a past, I don't think Leeds United fans live in the past, remember the past maybe, but at least we have a past to remember.
Good luck to Norwich in the premier, but there are 3 divisions in that league IMO and unfortunately I think Norwich will just make up the numbers like Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton, Wolves etc.

I never got chance to see the great Leeds United team under Revie, but I can tell that they where unbelievable just by the jealousy that other teams have! as much as the "dirty Leeds" tag is taking away the fact that his team dominated football consistently for so long it should be taken as a compliment.

 

Kissa, I know what you're saying. But in truth I've never cared what other supporters say or do to us.
I've always liked the bias by southern papers against the team and our fans, I love them hating us. Maybe I'm a dying breed, old school supporter, but I make no apologies for that. But like I said, good luck to them, enjoy it while it lasts.

i most certainly do not and have not ever hated leeds. in fact, i see many parallels between our two clubs.

i think some leeds fans want people to hate them, not too sure why though. i quite like them

 

Peter Lorimer & Jonny Giles, were real class in a team of thugs, Lorimers shooting was scary.
I don't quite see the "we played beautiful football" comment is relevant. Most of the games I watched were very very boring 1-0's, with Leeds putting everyone behind the ball after going 1 goal up. I think Leeds got what they deserved when Clough joined them.
I think you have a very good manager at the moment, who is unfortunatly being shackled by the idiot Bates. Can't you get rid of him and give yourselves a chance to shine?

My gloating comment wasn't directed at this article, but more a general observation that I've found from opposition fans on forums like these. It's just my opinion.

 

Yes sorry it wasn't referring to Norwich fans just in general!

I like Norwich we seemed to go through a lot together just a shame we didn't have people passionate like you have at the top!

Also see Grayson as a good young manager like lambert!

 

Without wanting to start a riot, I think you will find some Leeds fans are every bit as guilty as any other fans when it comes to gloating at times - it what football forums are like, such is life.

 

I can only speak for myself. In general I don't go onto other boards, especially not to wind people up, because I have no interest in other teams or what their supporters say. I only care about Leeds United.

i think grayson gets a lot of unfair flak from some of your fans. he has barely had any money to spend in his entire time at the club, yet he has produced one promotion clinching team and one that narrowly missed out the following year. i'd say he's doing a very impressive job, especially when he keeps losing his best players to certain clubs...

Posted this article just before I left off work yesterday and have only just returned to it.

As Supers says, where was my gloating in my original post ? I was actually saying how as a young lad I envied Leeds United and just wanted City to be like them !

Mind you, I have to say my Dad hated 'em, not because of jealousy, but because of the thuggery. I'll never forget that look of dismay on his face when he saw a picture of Eddie Gray on my bedroom wall.
