my mate over the way is a diehard Leeds fan. I remember back in league one when they were the darlings of the league him mocking Norwich, and saying how small fry we now were. I told him he'd regret those words, and sure enough he did because 3 months later i burnt his house down. (i joke) We passed them in league one. He said Leeds were still better, and only promotion mattered. We lasted the distance in the championship and got promoted. He said we were just flukey with last minute goals. We made a great start to the Prem. He said we were the new Blackpool, and Leeds would be up next year in our place. But now he has FINALLY given in, And what finally broke his resolve? Leeds to become Norwich's feeder club. So whenever he dismissively mocks Norwich now, i can casually ask how Feeds United are doing these days. Shuts him right up!
had a similar experience with a mate who is yorkshire through and through. On a different post, I mentioned that recently he asked where the **** is carrow road, to which I answered 'the premier league'
'Feeds United' - excellent work battersea! I reckon that's gonna stick like '1p5wich' and 'Colin' (Warnock)...
Hush don't let the media know @ our little agreement with Bates, our "Feeder Club" is slipping us one player at a time, but this time, I think the fans have got wind of it and they are going mental, principally because they know that SG won't be able to use any of the transfer £££
Just seen there's a documentary about Leeds next week on ITV3. 'From Leaders to Feeders; a Club Remembered'
Alan Green is always saying on 606 that he wants to see Leeds in the Premiership - I suppose this is one way of doing it
