Remember it's not just goals that he provides, but assists, a focus for opposition to physically attack, BELIEF to the fans that the next goal will be a norwich one, leadership to the team, inspiration to the up and coming junior players, a club hero for his derby exploits, the super-sub, the one player who knows how to foul and avoid a yellow card, the focus for hatred from the opposition fans and manager alike, a player who is as down to earth and fans can relate to as they come, our captain... The list goes on, but GH is a gem, and finding a replacement who fits all the criteria, would be bloody difficult
yes i know that, but i used holt purely as an example of what i meant. if say somehow we signed demba ba and danny sturridge for example, then both morison and holt would struggle to get in the team because you'd easily argue that both are better players. if we were able to sign them, we wouldn't turn down the opportunity because holt and morison are doing the business! we'd sign them up because thats what you do when moving forwards - constant improvements will be made, regardless of reputation, thats all i'm saying!
Regeneration at Eastlands? We'll see, they have their work cut out. As for the hotel at carrow road, I wish they'd burn the fecking thing down. Actually if there are any arsonists out there, able to set a controlled fire, please burn it down
bit of bed time reading for you lonsight... http://www.manchester.gov.uk/egov_downloads/Appendix_1_Eastlands_-_FINAL_FINAL.pdf
Oh I live about a mile away, I know the plans, the issue is will it change the area. They were banking on getting a massive gambling licence a few years ago, consequently, there is a £5m restuarant in the middle of a gun zone. great restaurant, but the bullet wounds after the meal leave a bad taste in your mouth
I didn't realise it was howson who crossed for Beckford against ManU. Looking youtube the lad obviously has an eye for a pass and from the looks of it Wes and Foxy should watch their backs!
He can play an absolutely pinpoint ball from even 60 yards away. An underused asset of his, for me. Definitely useful if you like to hit teams on the counter (not seen you since last season so don't know if you do, although that does seem to be a popular Prem tactic).
Sounds like a good signing for us and as always we need to trust PL's judgment. As for the comments about Leeds stadium, I think it's a great footballing arena. It obviously does need a bit of investment to bring some of the older stands up to date but it's a proper footballing venue with a decent atmosphere when full, unlike a lot of the soulless modern stadiums
Every time I see the hotel I see Neil Doncaster, luckily I usually sit in the Upper Barclay so I don't usually get to see the monstrosity, next game though I'm in the Jarrold so I hope I'm as far back as possible.
Filling that corner in would add 1000? seats and enhance the atmosphere, if only it would happen. Surely, an 'accident' could happen and claim the insurance!!
I remember moaning to my mate that I go to CR with about the hotel when the thing went up. I was saying 'what about if we want to expand at some point, now we're stuck with that'. He snorted a mocking laugh, gave me a look that said 'idiot', and said 'when are we ever going to want to expand?' I haven't reminded him of that yet, think I might!
Just looked up your hotel and it seems to be held by a company called Kerrison. Here's there info: http://companycheck.co.uk/company/05133647 Doesn't look like they're that profitable. 1,000 seats in that corner at 20 quid a pop over 19 games would make you 380k. More than the hotel makes, it would seem.
I'd bring it up if I was you, I've always been against it, had an argument with a fellow Norwich fan who ranted on that it's an entrance for the emergency services well that was the case about 10 years ago or so, there already is an entrance for the emergency services by the River End and it has the Aviva Community Stand built over the top of it.
Actual cost of tickets i guess would average at £35 per game, over 650K per season, get rid of the hotel now
If he is better than Johnson, which Leeds fans say he is, then PL will have found another lower league gem. "Leeds the feeder club of Norwich", has a good ring to it, Snodgrass next in the summer. Good cover for Hoolahan, and competition too! Remember every player needs strong competitors, look what holt and morison have spurred each other on to greater heights, and surman upping his game this season
Snodgrass AND Clayton to follow, little Leeds are the just the seed that the mighty canaries feast on.
