Oh, you must have misread the word 'boycotting'. Anyway, you have about half a million fans according to the same poll, so I'm sure it's a **** percentage that turn up to your games too. And before you wave the 'we sell out every week' thing in my face, there's no doubt there are League Cup games etc. which you've not sold out over the last couple of years. Couple of league games last season too IIRR. oops, i just got hooked again lolz
And you've done a ****e job at boycotting, giving your average attendances have been pretty static over the past few seasons, when Leeds fans all talked about their fantastic support. Mate think before you write.
I've read that he plays like Gerrard or Lampard which seems like exactly the sort of player we need. Also, loads of Leeds fans on twitter are annoyed that he is leaving, shows that he's a good player. Since when does having a large following make you a big club? Trophies and the league you are in make you a big club. That's a pathetic excuse to low attendances as well!
Our crowds have dropped by 4,000 this season. Our membership numbers have dropped by 5,000. We couldn't sell out the Man U game by 6,000 seats even when we sold out home games against Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham in the preceding few seasons. Don't tell me our fans aren't boycotting Elland Road. Many of them have been ever since Bates started dismantling our club. It's going to keep getting worse season on season. Well since 'big' is all about size, surely that has something to do with the one variable of a club's greatness that is actually measurable by size and size alone, right? And that's the club's following. If you want to do it by trophies, we're also one of the biggest clubs in the country, especially if you do it since after WWII. Although I'd suggest trophies make you a GREAT club rather than a BIG club.
Fact is, if we had your rotting stadium (not that we want it) we would fill it every week in the league.
So would we if we had a competent chairman in charge and we had excellent match-by-match and season ticket prices like you do. Good luck to you, you're a well run club.
So about Howson - what's he like? Is he likely to be injured for long - will he fit stright into the team?
Well, apparently our season ticket prices are going up by 11% next season, we'll see how many more will be added to the waiting list.....
How about a 4-3-3? Not saying we should go for it, but it's a possibility. Crofts/Fox-Howson-Johnson Bennett/Morison/Holt-Pilkington
how can this argument still rumble on?!?! lets get some facts straight shall we... leeds united are a big club FACT they are a bigger club than norwich city FACT they are not as successful as norwich city at this moment in time FACT they play in a lower division than norwich city FACT norwich city are currently ahead of leeds united in just about every category you can think of, excluding away support FACT (this despite norwich taking an average of 2,500 to away games from an outpost in the country and did so even in league one, so still pretty remarkable) norwich city have the right to be in the premier league because they were promoted FACT no club, not even leeds united, have a divine right to even play the game, let alone choose which league they play in - ask darlington fans FACT where do leeds united deserve to be right now - the championship FACT howson making a step up by signing for norwich city FACT
He'll be back in March and he plays where Hoolahan does. Instinctive finisher, got a great long range pass on him and his pressing and tackling have improved a lot over the last few months. Doesn't show for the ball though, he expects it rather than earning it for himself. So he has a tendency to be invisible sometimes. The lifeblood of our team along with Robert Snodgrass, although he's definitely not a leader even if Grayson for some reason made him captain.
I've seen/heard some reports he is out until mid-March. By the time he gets back to match fitness it will be nearly the end of the season. Not to worry, this possible signing is not all about this season.
DREADFUL signing in my book - what a waste of money!! Why on earth would we want to sign anyone from the lowly championship where everyone smells and all the footballers are rubbish when instead we could be signing an 18 year old brazilian prospect who has probably never set foot out of the country, doesn't speak a word of English and will probably take six months to settle in who looks quality on Youtube? Boy do I wish I was a koo Pee Arr fan, they'll be Champions league within 18 months, remember where you heard it first
of course, you do realise why qpr are about to sign henrique don't you? and why they are signing alex... their agent is marcos malaquias, the best buddy of a certain mr kia joorabchian who just happens to be mark hughes agent its all very dodgy! these players aren't really owned by clubs, they are owned by their agents, a la carlos tevez
Just went on to the QPR board. Some of the fans said they would quite like Howson and one even said that players like Pilkington, Dyer, Hoolahan, Morison and Graham have done much better than Barton or swp!
