Just saw this random tweet asking for witnesses to Police aggression at SMS back in August. Was it all a bit fisticuffy?

ATTN MILLWALL. WITNESS APPEAL. SFC V MFC

We are representing a client who was arrested at the following match:

 Southampton FC v Millwall FC
 Saturday 20th August 2011
 St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton

If you were at the game and you:

1. Saw the police using force on other fans after the game (such as punches, baton strikes, dog bites, etc.)

-or-

2. The police used force upon you

Then we would be very keen to speak with you about what happened.

We are happy to speak with you in confidence, however if you have useful information then we may ask for your permission to use that information.

If you have any information then please call us on the following number, and ask to speak to Lawrence Barker: 020 7388 8333

Did you see any coppers standing back while it kicked off? If so, did you actively encourage them to make more use of their boot and/or truncheon?

So are the Police being accused of hurting people's feelings despite all the aggro that they have put up with doing a very tough job?

What kind of country do we live in where one can seek legal redress or take out a civil lawsuit against the Police FFS!

I think some people need to go and read about Gestapo prisons and then get some persepctive...

Might need to put 28th January in your diary for another embarrassing defeat at home... ;)
