    nooooo its good for hooper no matter what. he will either come here on better wages or get an improved contract at celtic, its a win win for him.

    Hooper's agent went to the press in December talking about getting a new deal and was told to eff off by the club. Hooper's contract wont be up for discussion until the summer.

    I suspect the bid from Southampton is real and I suspect the desire to keep him at Celtic is real. I wouldn't be surprised if his agent is stirring it though as that is what those parasites do.

    This crossed my mind also, he may be using this situation to get a better contract. But if the Celtic management had told Saints from the start "he's not for sale at any price", why do we keep going back with improved offers? NC must think there is a negotiable price in this.
