I see on the Bbc website that Sharpe had turned down Leicester. Firstly I think it's great that they are now starting to realise that they can't just throw money at anyone and buy them. Secondly, I've got a sneaky feeling that he could be our plan B if Lennon continues to throw his toys out of his pram about Hooper. If it was a straight choice between the two, who would you rather have on the bus?
If we can't get Hooper, go for Sharp, especially as he has turned down Leicester - potentially good news for us
Def SF4L, it does make me wonder whether he's talking to other people, as turning Leicester down is a bid decision for him as still a good move for him in terms of location, money etc Let's hope The Don has a couple of aces up his sleeve!
I don't think we were seriously in for Sharp in the first place and it looks a lot like he will be staying until the end of the season now. It's not a secret that Adkins admires Hooper, the question is whether he wants to pay the "January fee" for him rather than what he will cost in the Summer. Personally I would be happy but surprised if we signed him.
Sharp won't come down south and wants to stay at Doncaster. Probably wants to repay the club for supporting him through his recent tragedy. Top man!
I agree. Never rated him and he can't cut it at a big club. Hooper, however, is class and I'd love it if we signed him
Speaking exclusively the official Celtic website, Hooper said: âIâm very happy. Iâm back playing now and scored at the weekend. It was good to be back in the team. âI donât want to go anywhere. Iâm a Celtic player and very happy here, winning games for Celtic and weâre two points clear at the top of the league just now. Iâm just focusing on football - training, playing and scoring goals â thatâs my job.
he turned them down because he wanted a massive salary and they where not willing to pay it. if he is going to be like that then i don't want him. He is just another CMS.
Let's face it ............ if there was anything seriously close to being done then thats exactly what the Don would have told him to say.
