The frogs would **** off and leave you fighting by yourself and the yanks would be too busy pissing on the people you shoot.
Ghurkas have a serious reputation, buy would you really trust your back to them, over someone from the UK?
Short arm range does not though. Wee ****ers can be tricky in a row but if you know how to keep them at arms length then you can happily pummel them while staying out of range of any of their hooks
True, although I do know short ****ers with freakishly long arms for their size. They are like ****ing chimps.
Fair enough Dev. The old man was a WW2 man, he swears by them. I know a retired Major in the Australian army who saw some kind of action in Asia. He said that the Ghurka was a hard bastard. I don't know where it happened but some time in the sixties or seventies I think it was, he said some Ghurkas were bringing in a prisoner in a chopper. They were waiting for them to land. The prisoner didn't make it. He took a header out of the chopper.
Apart from The Rep Parachute units the FFL are ****e, the French Special forces are a laughing stock. A load of guys from my old regiment were invited to do the Fench Commaando course which lasted 10 days (by comparison the Royal Marine Commandos course is 40 weeks), every man jack passed it with ease.
Ghurkas They fight like **** for a country that won't even let them settle in it unless a big OAP tranny gets involved.
Yes thats if they don't knock you out first, anyone who believes size is of major importance has never had any real experience and if they have they are lying. To answer the question I'd say Gurkhas also.
For all the frog-bashing here, the French are statistically the most successful military country in the world. At one point, almost the whole of Europe were trying to fight them at the same time with very little joy - the Iberian peninsula occupied most of the British Army and was one of only about eight fronts they were fighting on.
The Ghurkas were not "Let loose" in the Falklands such was the fear of what they would do to the Argies. They are all small chaps with big grins and a friendly nature who are almost like children at times but they can march forever and will whip out the Kukiri as quick as look at someone, ferocious fighters and sterling soldiers, thank **** they are on our side.
