Did anyone actually listen to the interview? he was joking about the valuation. He has said a few times that every player has their price and he has been pushed a few times this week on what Hooper's price is, so he joked £35m after being pushed once again.
 
Well to be fair during the 2009/2010 Championship season, Hooper was top scorer playing for Scunthorpe, ahead of a striker at Newcastle called Andy Carroll who got transferred for £35 million, so on that basis yes he is worth 35 million.
