David connolly would be tearing up this league is he was 3/4 years younger next to rickie who is his support!! It is highlighted from this.. we are searching for a player of connollys calibre in a younger form..
Connolly is a superb player,he's got great movement, vision and most importantly an eye for goal.Shame he isn't 5 or 6 years younger otherwise he would be a top player in the prem.
Our youngsters could learn a lot about creating space and making runs into dangerous areas, DC is the master of that, it is a crying shame we have not had the best of him, but time is not on his side.
Pards did a lot right. And not coming back in for any of them has also maintained my respect for him.
Conolly..Lambert... Fonte.. Richardson.. Chaplow.. basically 5 of our starting 11.. when you think Lallana, spidermand, davis, were already here.. But i feel neither regret or sorrow for pardews sacking
I also still have respect for Pardew, but this point is often overlooked - pretty much the whole squad last season and most of it this year were inherited by Nigel.
Seaborne, Martin, Butterfield, Connolly, Jaidi, Fonte, Hammond, Richardson, Harding, Lambert, Barnard, Guly, Lallana & Schneiderlin he bought into the side and are still playing a big part for us now or under adkins! plus alot of the backroom staff we dont know about etc and the winning mentality, attitudes all that jazz he built - he has played a big part in our success and he is often overlooked
Lallana and Schmeiderlin were already here and playing. The others on the list I agree. I didn't think Pardew was strong tactically during a game though; not like our Nigel. Connolly - is a Premier League ability player and always has been. It is the run of injuries that made him available to us when he joined. He had played a really low number of games over the previous two seasons. We must treat him as a bonus though, because he is 34 and I don't think he'll do it again in the Premier League. I'm sure NA is thinking about these new players as his medium term replacement.
i only included them because he got them playing properly, and completely turned them around into the great players they are now if it wasnt for him, they wouldnt be as good imo
Great respect for Pardew..doing well at Newcastle as well. Was sorry to see him go, but don't want him back now we've got Adkins.
Exactly Pardew helped build this team but Nigel tweaked the engine and got it firing on all cylinders!
