According to Talksport Norwich City & Swansea are battling it out for the signature of Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt, expected to cost £1m. What are your opinions on this player, does anyone know anything about him?

cracking player and would be a welcome addition. holding midfielder, talented lad - former chelsea youngster. brighton fans must be getting annoyed with us - we keep pinching their best players! first crofts, then bennett, now maybe bridcutt...

another holding midfielder! Looks a good player and a good squad addition, with lots of potential, but can't really see him adding much value this season. Don't expect any goals either, as far as I'm aware he hasn't scored in 27 starts in the championship and has only scored 2 goals in 80 games (that's worse than the high scoring crofts and fox)

why do people always look at stats before deciding whether a player is any good?

watch him play first <ok>

he's better than what we have in that position and i'd argue we do need someone capable of sitting in front of the back four. we are weak when teams run at us from deep.

FFS, super you take things way too seriously and literally. As soon as i'd written it, I thought how long before superman decides to argue and misrepresent the point I was making. I've only seen glimpses and maybe he is fantastic, but our other defensive midfielders looked great against champiosnship strikers, but less competent against £25 million pound strikers, now isn;t that surprising.

The number of goals scored counts for jack ****, he's a holding midfielder, the juxtaposition against fox and crofts was the clue i didn't think it relevant. oh well nevermind, yet again must make sure that my irony is highlighted and directed.

anyway, he'd be perfect for our team. would slot in next to fox and give fox more creative freedom. could sit next to johnson for added steel. for me its a no-brainer if he's available at a decent price. he'd be another player picked up for maybe £1m and worth £5m in 6 months time <ok>

I think we should sign ...... Ding Dong

That's an interesting one. Don't know much about him. Is he a Chinese international, Korean, Vietnamese? Would he get a work permit? Might have more chance IMO if we went for Ting Ling. Or what about

Clang Clang? <laugh>
