If we are in a fantasy scenario like this though dona, I would love to see how he would link up with ( choice of) - Silva, mata, aguero, Rooney, RVP, etc. Think it could bring even more out of him.

Plus he is known to score..... just hasn't quite done it for us yet and he would certainly create loads of chances for all mentioned.

Only one I would throw in would be Friedel, our best GK and proabbly best player ever in terms of standard of play, consistency, quarters of the WC in 02. I like Dempsey but don't think he would get in over all I mentioned or even ones other has mentioned.

I see no one has named Drogba or torres ( well Torres I can see why, but Drogba on his day......)

opinions..opinions...modric is like Carrick? we will not ruin this thread by side tracking...i picked Reina so stop complaining...i dont watch much of kelly..however i watch much of walker..do you??

Probably would have been better to ask why Walker, not too much experience if any in CL, young, but what do you see in him that he makes the grade.

not much champs league experience i agree..but he is full of life...up and down the flank all day..and compliments a nippy winger or even a slow one as he can overlap and overlap well...has a cracking shot on him....primarily though he is a defender and he is strong and no way a pushover..however he will get better as he gets older..i picked him in the team as i truly believe going o the question of the OP that if we were to pick a CL team made up of prem stars then it must be ateam that shows PL quality..which for me has always been about dynamic and strong..as oppose to say a techincal team from spain,italy etc....if Kelly is as rapid as Walker and can provide that zest then im sure he would do a fine job at rb also.

I have seen a lot of walker, actually. He is good for his age but not great. Hart is better then reina, even I'll admit that. Modric is much better than carrick. But he is still overrated Is what I meant, like carrick is

Walker's an absolure class act <ok> I love Kelly but Walker has been brilliant this year, just doesn't make mistakes, solid at the back, pacey and decent going forward. Surely if he carries on as he has been then he'll be up for Young Player of the Year.

Kelly is kind of deceivingly quick, especially for a big lad, when he legs get going he is hard to stop. I like Kelly and think he has a big big future, but haven't seen enough of Walker to comment on. I tried to add a little of everything in the squad from pure physical presence to nifty players.
 
I think with Modric you dont see many goals beinbg scored but the amount of balls he feeds to our wingers and VDV to start off a possible assist is a high number..drops deep to collect from defenders..covers alot of the grass..if he had a better goal scoring record then none of his other attributes would come into question...Reina on his day is just as good as Hart..to me he seems a bit disillusioned at whats ging on at LFc and tht has effected him..however if surrounded by the fantasy squad then he would be in there for sme matches.
 
ill keep an eye out for Kelly...see what hes all about...its good to be able to discuss football on an LFC board for a change!

I know right, been a warzone and we have been our own worst enemy. Kelly is actually a natural CB but does a great job at RB for us, many say he is the successor to Carra. Problem is our backline has been in fine form ( bar City) and he is having trouble breaking in at the moment.

This ^ <ok>, bar Vorm. He's good, but Hart and Pepe are better. Good to speak to you earlier. That's only the third time we've spoken when I haven't been in the pub <yikes>
